Thanks for this. This is now the third list of its kind I've got. So far they do all seem to match, which is a good sign. Also, so far these results match our findings on live.
I think what I will do later tonight, is to cross reference all the BWE lists, with our current results and update the initial post. There may still be inconsistancies but from that point, we can just correct anomolous results as we make new discoveries. Thanks everyone, and keep the data coming!

Yeah, I spent 3 Crystals trying to get my Seer's head piece, the first 2 gave me armageddon >_< It appears that the "crit" crafting mechanic may have a considerbly higher chance than I initially thought.
At some point in the future, it might be worth organising large tests with arcane orbs. I imagine eventually people will be swimming in arcane powder and orbs, so having a large number of people, each craft 10+ items and record their results, we could start to get an estimate on the actual chance to crit.

Do you receive tournament chests? I got 3 of 35+. Nothing to salvage at the moment.

I've been getting most of my tournament chests yeah. Yesterday evening there definitely seemed to be a problem, as I won two tournaments and received no chests for them. So there's definitely a problem with the system that needs fixing.

This may be related to the kind of chests you are getting. Are you buying/winning lots of gold chests? If so, you will probably have more rare items, than you do uncommons.
If you were getting lots of silver chests, you'd probably see more crystals.

Great thread +1 , funny thing is I tried free tournament + Arcane Sliver + Heavy Armor pauldrons and got PvP Pit Fighter`s Pauldrons not armageddon ones. How accurate are these recipes or is it a crit chance missing ?

That is weird, it's really hard to tell right now if these are anomalous results, or just how the system is meant to work. Logicially, it doesn't make sense that the rarest material has a chance to craft the most common set for that tier.
Thinking out loud here, but what if each material has a possibility to craft all 3 items from within that tier, but they are heavily weighted for one result. eg.
Orb = 80% chance of common, 10% chance of uncommon, 10% of rare.
Crystal = 10% common, 80% uncommon, 10% rare.
Sliver 10% common, 10% uncommon, 80% rare.
Personally I haven't got any results that support this though, but it's one way of explaining weird results like the one above.

Very interesting stuff, I haven't messed with consumables at all, I didn't know you could make tickets and dye! I'll add a consumables section during the next update.

Thanks for the heads up on the free tourney tokens.
I've just updated the initial post to include cross-referenced BWE results (marked in green). These probably aren't 100% accurate, but they give people a starting point. If anyone crafts one of these green recipes and gets different results, please let us know, so that we can update the list with data from live.
I've also added a section for weird or buggy results, stuff that just doesn't make sense. These may be bugs, or just quirks of the system we don't yet understand.

Arcane Orb: Stalwart's
Arcane crystal: Leather
Arcane Sliver: Rugged/Mistwalker (i think it's usualy rugged with a chance for mistwalker which looks way cooler).
Note: the stalwart's helm is currently bugged and will come out as commando helm. This may be attributed to the commando set being that rarer possible output for the arcane orb. I believe each mat combination has at least 2 output armor types, but i'm only completely sure about this for the slivers (tested).

I've already got screenshots for all the amour types lined up ready to go, however I plan to add them to the wiki, rather than directly to this post. As you can imagine though, it's quite a time consuming job, and it's made much harder by the wiki servers being unreliable at the moment. Eventually, I'll update the wiki and link to the pages for each item. There will be literally hundreds of screenshots, too many for a post like this.

Thanks for the update. If slivers have two outcomes (possibly both unique) that would explain a few of the odd results we're seeing. I'll go ahead and add Mistwalker as the "crit" for tourney+medium+sliver. I'll also add the commando result to the buggy list.

Since you can buy 5 copper chests for the price of 1 gold, you will definitely end up with more materials that way. If you collect copper chests, you will have a much greater volume of the common item skins (and thus more common salvage materials). I can see this being good if you just want to collect a lot of rank tokens, orbs and dust. However, without buying silver and gold chests, you will have very limited access to uncommon and rare skins (and thus very few Arcane Crystals and Slivers).
Personally, I'm only buying gold chests, because I find the limiting factor is usually slivers and crystals, and not the other materials.

My general advice is that, you shouldn't be getting any tournament tokens by salvaging items from the regular rabbit, deer etc chests. The most reliable way to get them is to simply play a lot of tournament games. Even a single win in a tournament will often net you a 4th place copper tournament chest. Salvaging items from these tourney chests will give you tourney tokens instead of rank (rabbit etc) tokens.
Having said all that, it does appear that some items from the deer chests are currently giving tourney tokens. I've not managed to confirm which ones yet, but Ratboy confirmed that it's definitely happening, earlier in this thread. In any case, I wouldn't get too used to deer chests giving tourney tokens, as I suspect it's a bug, and will be fixed sooner or later.
@Lallazier,
Thanks for the info, looks like a perfect example of a "crit" craft for tourney+orb weapon. I've made a few vigil weapons myself now using slivers, (the GS and Sword both look awesome!) so it's one of the recipes I'm most confident is correct!
