Post in this thread the aesthetics of your Mesmer .

I'll start!

It took forever, I kept remaking it until I was satisfied. Took probably an hour or two..
I started off with the "innocent schoolgirl" look, but I scrapped it. Then, I went for the "party clubber" look, but felt like that look was too out for a class as elegant as the Mesmer. Then I realized, ELEGANCE: is what I should be aiming for.



The Elegant. The bride, who upon seeing her husband kiss another woman, pulls out her sword and slays them all. The vengeful housewife, elegant, cruel, unyielding.

As a dusk sylvari, the base concept for this character was "night blooming flower," hence the pale skin and white hair. To emphasize his mesmer side, I gave him lilac eyes and bioluminescence. I bought the snapdragon set, transmuted it onto my low level gear, and dyed it with Midnight Yew, Orchid, and Silver, trying to imitate a silver fern.

I spent a way too much stress test time on character creation. I created several toons to try out body types, skin colors, faces and hair styles. I have literally hundreds of pictures, all toons in different lightnings and in pvp locker armors.

I wanted human female that looks like adult (25+), is beautiful but still rough enough to wear all armors (you know, things like this). She is common folk, but as mesmer she is proud of what she is and has a always little smirk when facing enemies. Like the mesmer quote: "When I'm done with you, you won't trust your own mind".

Nice dress! I love the human ladies so far, they look classy. Extra points for brunettes; it's not "brown," it's "bistre."

No offence, but he looks just like some randum NPC sylvari...

It's childish, but asura with afros never fail to make me laugh. I'm digging the epic horns on the charr. I love how charr look in the more dapper outfits. It forms a great juxtaposition.

None taken! I was going for a very typical sylvari, gunning for cultural armor ASAP, so I'm not surprised I look like an NPC. That was part of the fun, a lot of people seemed to gawk at me a little or do double-takes as I ran about the Grove. It was fun.

I am curious, though, as to what you would suggest? Assuming non sylvari dress certainly makes one stand out, but I was purposefully avoiding that. A more dramatic color scheme? My husband ended up making his dawn sylvari elementalist with deep blue skin, indigo hair, yellow eyes, and a fiery orange glow. It does certainly capture a certain fire and frost aesthetic. I just wanted to look like a plant.

So, this beautiful piece of armor is from the Hall of Monuments correct? I know that veterans should have some perks but I just wish there was any mesmer looking (GW1 professor style) armor in GW2.  I mean, there are some, but they are all town clothes..

My Sylvari mesmer.  I went with an Autumn theme even though it doesn't fit perfectly with traditional mesmer colors.  I couldn't help but be drawn to the natural brights of the fall though!
