Hello everyone! A lot of people have been asking how they can have GW2DB tooltips on their site like we do here. To take advantage of the tooltip functionality you would need to make sure your website includes the JQuery Javascript library as well as our tooltip library. For that, simply add the following two lines to your website's HTML template:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.8.0.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://static-ascalon.cursecdn.com/1-0-4619-33130/js/syndication/tt.js"></script>

Once that's done, any links to entries on GW2DB will receive the tooltip, for example:

<a href="http://www.gw2db.com/skills/521-air-attunement">Air Attunement</a>

Or, if your forum uses BBcode:

[url="http://www.gw2db.com/skills/521-air-attunement"]Air Attunement[/url]

It doesn't work. Javascript fails at tooltip function, i've checked both with various versions of your javascript file and jquery. Also i use a IP.Board like you, so... i dont know what more to do.

Could you possibly create a media tag for IP.Board for the GW2DB items?  I just don't know enough about regex etc to make this work.

In IP.Board it's under Look & Feel -> Post Content -> Manage Media Tag

It should be possible to make it so that when someone posts the URL to an item in the GW2DB like [code]http://www.gw2db.com/items/70517-ascalonian-leather-chestguard[/code] that the media tag converts that into [code]<a href="http://www.gw2db.com/items/70517-ascalonian-leather-chestguard">Ascalonian Leather Chestguard</a>[/code].

As an extension of that request it would be even more grand to create a BBcode that would work such that a user would simply post

[code][gw2]Ascalonian Leather Chestguard[/gw2][/code] and it would convert it into [code]<a href="http://www.gw2db.com/items/70517-ascalonian-leather-chestguard">Ascalonian Leather Chestguard</a>[/code] with tooltip.

There is a guy who tried to create the BB code for myBB but his effort seems to have fizzled.

Since you guys are using IP.Board it would be grand if you could create the BB code for IPB and release it as a mod.

Thanks in advance for any kind of effort you can put into this, the media tag alone would be a big help.
