Found this book after getting into the Durmand Priory and exploring the library.  It seems to be written in some kind of cipher and may be nonsense, but I thought it might actually say something.  The book is titled "Varajar Fells Notebook".

Was this in the beta?  There is nothing about it in the Wiki.

It's definitely a subtle WoW jab, just like the gravestone in Queensdale.

Translation below:

I believe Varajar Fells will be my tomb for I have no desire to leave this valley of tumbled gods.
The facets have been revealed, and the cipher as well. I have mastered them.
A greater understanding of the Eternal Alchemy is within my grasp.
Human gods, charr gods, norn animal totems - they are all part of the all-encompassing Eternal Alchemy.
I am humbled as never before by the grandeur of it, and by my own ability to conceive of such vastness.

If that is true, it is related to a quest in GW1 and the guy who wrote the book is Kerrsh: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Kerrsh

From the Path to Revelations quest of Guild Wars 1, the spirit that appears at the end seems to speak in the same language as the one that has been translated in here. A translation of those words using the alphabet that was used up here is the following:   Ephemeral Spirit: "Vm'Jqqteomn dj'dpjat ipj'attw" First line: An offering to those who seen Ephemeral Spirit: "Rthjms'dpt xoada'rthjms dpt'setvxa" Second line:Beyond the mists, beyond the dreams Ephemeral Spirit: "Jm'soadvmd apjeta'jq v'yvms bmivwomn" Third line: On distant shores of a land ?unwaking? (this word is a little weird and I recon it might have been a game mistake) Ephemeral Spirit: "Vmaitea'dptet yot'om ivodomn" Fourth line: Answers there lie in waiting

It doesn't bring a flood of new information on this topic but Wooden Potatoes made a quite interesting video about this topic a few days ago.

Enjoy:
