Too many skills apply conditions on basic auto-attacks and overall damage is too high, it pushes people to go high damage builds with little to no drawbacks. 99% of my deaths are due to 200+ ticks of bleeding, this is not acceptable with no designated healers, its just too strong and impossible to counter even with 3 condition removers.

Too many skills can burst people down to fast, some even with autoattacks... see what I did their?
I usually play necro, engi and mesmer in PvP and I usually never die from random conditions. Actually they nerfed the damage of necro and engi autoattack bleed BY ALOT in beta. Autoattack bleeds is the same as 1,5k autoattack hits from power builds.
Edit: Condition builds are not high damage, they are low damage super high survivability.

uhhm you missed the point.
Overall damage is way too high. Its so unrewarding to play tanky.
With 3 armor i still get 2k+ hearthseeker spam. My healing abillitys (not the #6) heal 10% more for compassion.
So with 1k compassion most healing skill heal for 100 more... whut? are you serious?

Every profession has multiple ways to remove conditions on themselves and many have ways to remove conditions on their allies as well. There are plenty of counters

Ty!
Pls OP, professions like ele and ranger rely on conditions for 60% of their overall dmg, especially my ele doesn't need more nerfs because you can't bother to bring condition removal...I've got 2 multiple condition removals and single removal on my ele...no excuses for you, stop crying....

then maybe...just maybe...the developer is saying: "dont play tanky".
survival buildss in gw2 arent tanky builds. its builds with dodge, block, regen and condition removal. dont blame the game when you're playing it wrong.

Most condition removals are aoe, so condition builds aren't nearly as strong in a team fight with players bouncing removal on each other.

How is 2k damage too much? It's like 10% of the average player's health, but a thief can typically do 4x Heartseeker before he's out of initiative. Do you want to be invulnerable or something? You're gonna get hit for damage in the thousands by basically every profession. Getting killed doesn't mean stuff needs to be nerfed. Hell, if everyone took 2k damage from the game's most iconic burst damage skill, nobody would ever die. How is someone supposed to kill you if they have to hit you a dozen times? Keep in mind that glass cannon builds tend to have like 14k health and 1900 armor, so they practically get two-shotted.
Damage in this game is fine. Don't forget that it also accomodates the fact that you have to finish off a downed target as well. That's the reason it's okay that pretty much every class can build for very high damage. The downed mechanic makes sure glass cannon builds are never too powerful. Just stop being reactionist just because you saw scary numbers on your screen.
