And I see there are already lvl80s, so, please share your experience and wisdom with us newbies and recreational players

How to play elementalist efectively in PvE, "what builds to use and why", "what weapons and buffs to concentrate on", "what skills are worth mastering", "what is waste of time" and so on are the questions...

That build seems to be very support heavy.  I'm going to make my elementalist more damage focuses so instead of going heavy water, I'm going to put more into fire.

I hit lvl 80 yesterday so I thought I'd toss what I did in here. Probably not the best, but I didn't really have any problems lvling.

I used scepter/dagger pretty much all the way to 80. I tried both d/d and staff, but I just didn't think they were as good/fast for lvling.

I went 10 fire 10 arcane 10 air, then the next 20 in fire while lvling.

I have just seen that the first lvl80 in GW2 was playing an Elementalist, and it was pure PvE experience...

Zephyr's Boon doesn't fit with his build at all. I'd probably go with quick glyphs

can you explain why does it not fit, and why you would go with quick glyphs?

He has very few to no aura's to apply to himself, but does use two Glyphs. Of which one in his Elite slot. A 20% reduction in cool-down on both his self healing and elite skill seems like a better choice.

Well the guy was running with a group, and since you can proc AoE Frost Armour by yourself with staff, and AoE Chaos Armour with one of your two blast finishers if you've got a Mesmer with you, then assuming Zephyr's Boon also applies to combo-proc'd auras (haven't tested it myself - yet), it's more beneficial than Quick Gylphs.

This guy levelled through crafting and running with his guild. He didn't play solo, like most people who will visit this thread.

As I've read up untill now it is self only (sadly). But I haven't had a chance to test it either.

how much hp / what kind of eq should i get for arah/high lvl dungeons(and explorer modes)?

i want to have much %magic find(f.e. explorer's set= 6x3%+runes), but then i have very low health(~12k atm)

or is this normal?

another idea is to buy "pvp"-eq with power/tou/vit from wvw keep
