I apologize for creating a new thread for this, but I didn't want to hijack the most closely related thread I found (same question, but in relation to Jute).

Where are people having good luck gathering a lot of Rawhide Leather Scraps?

I've been running the Bandithaunt Caverns in Queensdale.  While it gives me Leather Scraps, it certainly feels like I get significantly more Jute.  This is still useful as a Leatherworker, but what I really need is a place to farm Rawhide Leather Scraps.

Yes, I am salvaging anything that even looks like it might yield a crafting resource.

I have no problem investing time into farming, I just want to make sure that I'm in the right place for the resource I need.  If there is somewhere better for Leather, I'd love some input.

Try Silvari starter zone, kill lots of beasts (non nightmare) for the pelts and hopefully studded gear to salvage.

Centaurs have given me more rawhide then I can use (using the lowest end salvaging kit).

I got some from salvaging items from karma vendor. At Caledon forest there is a heart npc that sells gloves for ~59karma and you got 2 leather scraps
