I remember some other games have same issue due to some windows setting such as update check, sync local time with server etc.
But I have no idea how to prevent it in GW2.
Anyone has the same issue?
Or any suggestion?
Thank you very much.

If so then you should check what you have running on the background.

Wonder if it has anything to do what video card & driver's? What card type and driver # are you using?
I'm using AMD/ATI HD5870 in CrossFireX, using the 12.11 beta drivers.

Mireles, do you still have this problem after reverted to 12.8 ?
EDIT : It seems to happen generally, not only in GW2. For example typing on this thread, it stops typing like I am clicking on another window.. Can't explain it easy hope you understood. It also happened while I was not fullscreen on GW2.. I guess there is an another program running on the background and keep doing this, but can't figure it out.

The trick to find what app is grabbing focus:
1. After your gw2 minimizes, press alt+f4 immediately.
2. App which then closes was grabbing focus and making gw2 minimize.
It can be app that is in taskbar icons on the bottom right so pay attention
For me it was d-link wifi application.
(btw this is HUGE flaw in system design, user focus is holy and only thing that would EVER be allowed to grab focus should be system itself, not some application.. jesus get your heads out of your asses microsoft)
