After playing AC story mode I can say that this game doesn't require any form of intelligent play. The deal with mobs is just that they hit hard and that they have lots of HP. Other than that it's just nuke and dodge. Boring.

Make encounters in such way so that even regular mobs have decent AI with interesting skills which require you to THINK and develop a strategy for them.

A bit disappointed after reading how hard the dungeons are, I did AC story on my lvl30 warrior with a PUG in under 40 minutes with no wipes. Too short and too easy. I sincerely hope that explorable modes really are 6-10 times more difficult, but not in a harder-hitting more-hp mobs way.

very well done, criticize the difficult of the game while you play only part of it, and almost of GW2 people knew that story mode dungeon is easy/moderate.

oh.... btw shooting spear gun on top of mount, battle mount will make the game become more stupid

mount for aesthetic is ok, mount for battle....yuck

I'd like M1/M2 to be bindable, and bring back click to move.

The personal development story.....NEEDS REAL TWEAKING(I WON'T USE THE COLORFUL LANGUAGE THAT I'D LIKE TO USE). The difficulty level is FAR to difficult for anything close to the recommended level...and the rewards are a joke.

Example .... had a level 14 quest I couldn't accomplish till I was level 18...and I got a level 12 item !!!!

The storys are great...the difficulty level is simply not close to any semblance of reality.

I won't be wasting my time ...or money getting my equippment repaired for what is currently a sad waste of time.

I... Really don't get it how anyone can find anything in this game too difficult. Even remotely difficult. Everything is way too easy and casual for my taste honestly.

Edit: I respect your view on things though, I'm not saying you aren't saying the truth from your perspective. Just saying that I personally fail to find any challenge in anything offered.

I see you have this "Updated list" here but you've missed a couple of things.
  • using the /wiki command should open a window in game instead of alt tabbing you to your local browser.
  • A recently encountered enemies, skills, items, recipes etc...etc..etc. list similar to the one in GW. Where if you clicked on something in the list it took you to the wiki entry for it only make the wiki open in game. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Help
  • Alliance chat features or at least custom chat channels.

They need to change dungeon bosses.

We need less bosses that spam high damage attacks faster then you can regain stamina/have your health/condition remover skills recharge.

and more bosses that actually have some trick to them beyond "go up and wail on em"

3) Cash on Delivery. A very neat feature. I don't see why not. It's not an imperative, but again - it's useful, why not.

Allow a utility swap key outside of combat

Problem(Example): You're an adventurer and you are running around defending the lands from the murderous hordes of foul and wretched beasts. You finish up your event and all that is left on the field are the remnants of your wrath. You climb the mountain of bodies and scout ahead to the next heart to re-**STOP**CLICK EACH UTILITY ONE AT A TIME CAREFULLY ON THE ITTY-BITTY UP ARROW TO CHANGE TO SPEED UTILITY SKILLS**-peat the... - ahh screw it the flow is dead.

See what's wrong here?

Solution: Allow the ability to swap utility sets, much in the same manner as weapons already do, outside of combat.
  • Bind key to utility swap
  • Tear apart enemies
  • Swap utilities with a swift, effortless stroke of the finger
  • Continue on your adventure uninterrupted

I agree with all the list except:

Inspecting - In a perfect world, this feature would bring some usefulness as the OP said.
In reality, if implemented it becomes a tool for people to force others to slot what the current wiki gimmicks say if they want to join team.
Also, those times I make a strong build no one yet discovered I might want to keep it for myself.
My hero screen is mine only unless I purposely decide to show it.

Lesser scale combat - This one I can agree, because sometimes fighting one smart mob is more engaging, but at the same time I LOVE huge armies clashing and dying and shouting and... battles, war.
But one form should not remove the other. We either get both or stay with the current situation (for the record, we have champ mobs for tough 1v1 fights).

Transmutation - It would make little sense to keep both the items after a transmutation, and also make the game easier for no particular reason.

Mounts - As cool as they are, they are proved to empty worlds.
Most people will never dismount to res others or help them with a DE or a boss.

GCD - Just no, I would quit.
One of the strong points of the current system is that you actually have to know your cast times and there are many possible combinations of them.
GCD puts everything on the same level and removes a lot of depth, and last but not least, it's much easier to balance without GCD because they can increase or decrease casting times to balance skills.
Then again this will never happen so it's a non-issue.

On top of the current list in the OP I would like to see:

More weapons - 2H Axes (Warrior), 1H Spears (Guardian), Crossbows (Rangers), Chakrams (Mesmers), Katars (Thieves), and others.
Anet said they'll come with expansions but I really can't wait, it's so good to have more choice.

Ability to move UI pieces where you want like in GW1 - It was one of my fav features to be able to decide where do I put UI things.
Albeit the current UI is great, I'd like to move stuff to other places for instance boons/debuffs.

Ability to move weapon skill around on the skillbar - Some weapons have their most used skill on number 5 which is the farest from your hand.
Other times you get semi-useless skills on your button 2.
We should definitely be able to move them.

A better jumping system - Because the terrible MMO jumping and collisions together can lead to very frustrating results.
I'm not asking for Assassin's Creed jumping depth, but something better than this can definitely be done.

So you're saying that explorable dungeons aren't a challenge? Okay..

Honestly I haven't played explorables yet, I said I HOPE they are 6-10 times more difficult. I think I said that very clearly. And the dungeons are BORING. Short, with no fun encounters, same old nuke n dodge crap. Zero need to use your brain. Boss encounters are dull and unoriginal.

The whole "challenge" thing comes down to huge HP pools and big damage output.

6) Character movement animations and camera. Been discussed so, so many times. Not everyone finds this a gamebreaker, but many do. And while not everyone finds this important or a top priority, they certainly won't mind having these polished to the maximum. Some people, like me, find this to be a really big deal.

I know you said it's been discussed many times, but could you be more specific here? I don't really understand what is meant by this one.

My additions:
-Be able to see guildmates on the map / mini-map so you can party and do stuff together more often (to ultimately get more influence).
-Don't zoom in camera when you're downed. It's really annoying because it makes it harder to target and see what you're attacking.

edit: oh wow, you just ninja'd both of my suggestions :P...you should edit/update your main post...and be sure to post this when their forum is up. Good job *thumbs up*

Oh, just saw this on the wiki:  Game Status Update

Downed mode camera --   In tonight's software update we will improve the downed mode camera to maintain a more consistent distance taking race into account.

Looking forward to seeing the change... i.e. still reserving judgment, but glad they heard the complaints.

How about spvp maps being too small for 8v8.

I'd like to see each of the minor races have their own armor type for sale.  It would be cool as a thief to have Skritt armor.

My biggest gripe is with the collections tab. Some crafting materials can not be put in the collections tab and instead take up space in your bags/bank. These items can be cooking ingredients which have no other purpose but to be used later on to cook another recipe (as the description claims) like pie filling, dough of any kind, and dressings to even the most basic of crafting supplies such as green wood dowels.

My biggest issue with the game is the restriction in skill customization and more creative build specialization.
The predefined weapon skills take away freedom in playstyle and therefore prevent more in depth build customization. Playing with the same weapon skills all the way to 80 feels more like an arcade game than an rpg and could be a game braker at some point.
And yes! I know that weapon change is a major fact of gw 2 combat but there are solutions to overcome that problem without harming the use of weapon swap. Either give us 1-2 more skills per weapon that can be replaced like on the right skill bar to allow more freedom in playstyles, or every 10 levels we should be given 1 skillpoint to invest in a trait for skills only, like reduce cd , additional effects etc etc etc...something like that could be possible but it should not unbalance the game.

Only thing I feel I'm missing is open world PVP servers and more skills per class. Perhaps more weapons because the game feels pretty restricted compared to the first one skillwise (imo), you are too locked to certain weapons or skills in certain skill slots which I find somewhat lame.

EDIT: Oh and a goddamn normal trade button.

I wish there were some save points in some of the longer personal story missions. So if you were disconnected you didn't have to go through everything all over again. It would be nice if it just reset the part of the mission you were currently doing and not the whole thing.

I've been trying to do a mission (taking back Claw Island) two times now and both times something went wrong with the connection. I know it's a problem on my end but it's odd that I've never come across this particular problem until a level 59 mission.

On another note the trading post really needs to allow us to preview weapons/armour. It would also be nice to be able to search for armour based on whether it's light, medium or heavy.

It would be great if we could click on another persons name in the chat and be able to view their current armour/weapons on their avatar. (Like preview except on other players)

Lastly this probably isn't something they can really change now with the current story but in the future I hope they make better use of characters in the personal story. Any time I start feeling an attachment to a character they get thrown away and I never see them again. Even if they didn't play a huge role there are situations like when you're taking back Claw Island it would be really great if characters from earlier story arcs showed up and fought alongside you. Just have some more ways to reuse characters from older story arcs.

Crafting/Storage
1) Provide additional inventory slots in the bank for crafted ingredients/components

Armor
1) Provide each race with starter armor representative of their unique cultural aesthetic
2) Allow other races to purchase armor inspired by the other races

The armor bits really bothered me. It was pretty boring to have my non-human characters all look like humans when it came to armor. And the lack of cross-cultural armor is INCREDIBLY boring.

Awesome, thanks for doing this instead of me. Just a heads up: you missed adding full control over your pet skills, such as one we have in WoW. I really dislike how limited control we have over our pets as rangers.

Also, armor "decay" in terms of looks only - scratches, blood splatter etc.

I'm sorry if you added these and I missed them by any chance.

Charge waypoint usage by distance, not level AND distance.
