I wouldn't risk investing in iron ore since it's basically everywhere,I gathered 4 stacks with one character just because I was passing by while leveling.

I havnt read all posts but iron is going to sink in the next week. I expect it to drop to the buy 7-9 range and sell range of 8-10 over the next week.

First reason: Mystic chests.... Tomorrow Midnight the developers posted that chest will no longer be a craftable item from the forge. The sole purpose of the short term chest was to take the HUGE amount of iron, soft wood, hard wood, butter.... out of the game. The 10-11-12 copper per Iron range was based on 4-5 items stabilizing market. Each chest cost 500 of each component. Without the chest there should be very little to keep people buying and pushing the prices up across all 4-5 items.

Second Reason: I am sure it was posted above. Iron is easy to get, easy to push past in crafting, not used by all tradskills and not used for profitable/flipable armor/weapons or containers.
