Right now I'm sitting on 175/178 areas for Krytan Explorer achievement and all maps in Kryta have been 100%ed, including LA.

How can I see what areas are still to be done?

Which maps belong to Kryta?

I have everything on Divinity's Reach, Queensdale, Kessex Hills, Gendarran Fields, Harathi Hinderlands, Lions Arch and Bloodtide Coast. I think all of them belong to Kryta. The count increased while exploring in these maps. Other map south of Bloodtide Coast belongs to the jungle.

But I have only 170/178 despite having all the maps completed. Any other map belonging to Kryta? The dungeon does not count. Checked it and went there and ran around to discover 1 thing.

Or maybe I just forgot some caves without points of interest that still give a "discovered" message?

Edit: Yeah... Just found one more. Need to check all those maps again for places that look still unexplored. Especially in places without much other stuff or waypoints were you probably have not walked around that much.

i fully explored ascalon 100% but it shows as 179/187.

Ascalon Catacombs doesn't count toward Ascalon completion so I am at a complete loss.

This is with all the caves discovered.

Is there a way into Uzolan's hideout? There is a door but I can't get past and this seems like an area that where it could go a bit into the mountain and reaveal some discovery. Maybe a super secret hidden jumping puzzle and some path that starts from far away is leading there?

Kessex Hills, Sojourner's Way (in the north) straigth east to the waypoint. There is the point of interest "Uzolan's hideout" and you can get him without getting past the door but maybe there is a way to get past the door which unlocks a new area discovery.

Edit: Also can someone check the Vigil headquarters(Vigil Keep) in Gendarran Fields? I am not sure... I joined Order of Whispers but I think there are areas for each of the Orders at their headquarters that only the members can access. Maybe this achievement is account wide and you need to play another char and join the other Orders and go to these areas?

I am at 175 now. I advanced my personal storyline and it seems a lot have been discovered on that island south west of Lion's Arch during the story mission. Was still 171 earlier and had been in non kryta areas in the mission before. Maybe some other missions later unlock more... if you are not completely finished with your story.

From 171 to 175 did you uncover any more foggy areas or just run around where you uncovered previously?

From 170 to 171 I checked my map and found one undiscovered spot in south east of Queensdale. Then I checked all the maps again. Did not find anything else looking unexplored and decided to walk through all the maps again. Did not want the cities. Only the other maps. Started with Queensdale, then Kessex Hills, then Gendarran Fields and searched thoroughly. But nothing. Still at 171. Wanted to check the other maps later again because it got boring.

I decided to continue my personal story from like 42 to 62. First was to help some of the minor races in some icy mountain area. Probably did not unlock more because this belongs to another region. But then that missions on the island south west of Lion's Arch - I think you only can access it during your mission(Claw Island)... checked after it and I had 175. Or maybe it was one area earlier in Lion's Arch where I had to search a house where I forgot something. Don't remember the "discovered" messages but I think they were on that island. It is a totally new area you have never been before until you go there because of the mission.

I'm stuck at 175 too. I was determined to get these last three today and spent hours trying to find them... no luck.

Same 175/178 here. It is tier 4/4 though maybe its bug. My problem is my shiverpeaks is 145/150 and i just can't find the rest of it. Other regions i have yet to fully explore.

I have this same problem with all areas, Ascalon, Kryta, Magumma Jungle, even Orr.

I have compared my maps with as many ones as I could find online and could not find a single spot i had left undiscovered.

I am having this dilemma right now. Im 175/178 for Krytan Explorer and cant find anything I havent seen for the life of me. I was 171 earlier today and went through and found the 4 areas. Could it be that these are bugged? I mean 178 just seems an odd number to have when 175 is nice and clean. You guys know what Im saying?

you guys have all done the jumping puzzles in these areas yes? They often have discoverable areas in them.

all except the bloodtide coast area, but I dunno that that would add up to 3 more areas, I noticed a lot of people on the official forums (who may or may not be the same people here) are having the same problem.

have you done the jumping puzzles in Kryta? the sharktooth? caverns in la is commonly missed, Also the Chantry of secrets is in Kryta.

Have you been to the Chantry of Secrets in Bloodtide Coast?  There's an entrance on an island near the north of the map.  There's a skill point at the entrance involving dueling an Asuran.

That one counts.

Also, use the wiki and go zone by zone to make sure you've opened everything up.

It seems bizarre to me that there are areas without a single point of interest, waypoint, vista, skill challenge or heart. When you have discovered every single one of those, you would assume that you have seen everything, but no - it's a pain. I did complete it eventually but not without hair loss.

Krytan explorer doesn't go by PoI and the like, it goes by areas uncovered.

I was at 174/175 for awhile until I realized I missed a small skritt cave on the north-east side of Harathi Hinterlands.
