Having max FPS, a keyboard and mouse with almost no input delay, 20ms ping / DPI and an efficient keybind setup are surely major factors to make me better than the average gamer with FPS lag, input lag, high ping and poor keybinds.

Although I see you've bought into all the gaming companies advertising, have a look at the broodwar or GW1 pros. They didn't use any gaming equipment (until sponsored) it's a matter of preference. Not to mention lag doesn't make you a better player, it's generally an uncontrollable factor that can change only your gameplay (or sometimes your timings) I remember being able to q-step at 800ping while some of my friends just couldn't.
It seems the mark of a bad player to rely on equipment to be better, also begs the question; would you be any good without your equipment?

You would come off really negative from this, while a good player won't, if you see what I mean.

I never said hardware can make up for lack of skill, I said it makes you objectively more likely to win regardless of your skills.
It's objective that having 20ms ping vs 200ms or 60fps vs 15fps makes you win more in a game where things like blocking or interrupting or dodging require to have great timing.

The outcome of a fight is largerly about this and RNGs, the rest being of course skill.
I know people loves to think it's ALL about their magik l33t skillz but it's actually a lot about this before skills come into factor, denying this is denying simple electronics and computer basics.

Yeah, derrrr, didn't even realise that. Will have to go fix it up. (happens from trying to select traits too fast after anet deletes them when I zone).

Soon as I'm better, probably this weekend, I'll make some more videos. I have a few defensive ones but they still do damage, in otherwords they sacrifice crit and burst for armour and defensive skills!

Air/Accuracy (or rage over either)
Scepter/Shield
Bloodlust/Bloodlust (with energy or ice optionals if you're having trouble)

99% of the time I run Stand your ground with CoP or Bane signet (hammer of wisdom also good) as optional, depending on the game. Just make sure to always go CoP or Hammer of wisdom if trying to 1v1 a mesmer!

can't really agree with this as CoP is completely useless imo. Most of the time Smite Condition is enough + the condition removal of the heal signet and Purity Trait. When I fight a condition necro or mesmer and I use CoP I get the same amount of conditions back in under 2 seconds... so it is not worth it imo

Was looking for a good way to use meditations and didn't know what weapon set to go along with them. Very very happy with this build and am using it in PvE, believe it or not. Level 32 and wrecking stuff even without all of the traits, including +3 level skill point mobs and Vets. Also ran out to WvW and got into a fight with an 80 Guardian. While he kicked my ass (was 26 at the time and had just respecced), I watched him blow all of his cooldowns. He stopped his stomp just to /laugh at me but I don't think he had any clue of what he just fought and why he actually won.

Anyways, good stuff and fun enough that I might finally get something to level 80.

you can exchange CoP with SYG and in Teamfights i think you should. but CoP is great for the extra meditation and a life saver for situations when you are stuck in an immobilize. in sPvP i take this over SYG as most ppl dont bother reviving anyways

These videos basically made me try out a Guardian after levelling my Engineer to 80. Apart from the Microphone issue absolutely great videos thanks for that!

The one with the same basic build as this, but with 1 more major in Zeal and using the GS? I might try that for DEs although using the sword/focus scepter/shield combo has been working pretty good actually. I could see the GS being better for groups of mobs, though.

Trust me, AI in GW2 are trash, the greatsword deals the most AoE DPS easily. But the sword focus is still better for single target enemies.

I have newer armour than this even. It's dark shoulders, pit fighter top and arms and the rest is armageddon. All but the dark are free tournament rewards and the dark is from tiger rank tokens ^^

I also have some defensive builds that are very strong (i use bunker in foefire 99% of the time) and am currently looking into wvw ^^

This pleases me, am currently wracking my brain on stats for a wvw build.

Something like a mix of triple med with greatsword - scepter/focus or shield, focused on crit/vitality with 3k power.

the only thing I don't like is having around 14k hp.

Yes please. Also looking forward to the guide, totally dropped my Engineer now and am only doing sPvP with the Guardian using your tripple med build and having a blast even though I am incoherently smashing buttons at the moment hahaha

Could you expand more on the build with using the same trait setup as the original post, but using Greatsword and Sword/Shield?

Do you just use GS for group fights, and Sword/Shield for 1on1?

I was experimenting starting out with Sword Shield, doing Virtue of Justice, Smite Condition, Judge's Intervention, ZD.  Then once its all gone into cooldown, switching to Greatsword, laying down symbol of wraith, then whirling wraith with pretty good success.
I was just curious as I say you build for this in the first link, but then in your greatsword video you changed the traits and went with sword/focus.
