I'm sure that Arenanet said that they were going to reveal a profession before Gamescon! Why haven't they! I'm getting more and more disappointed with them! First the new gameplay video that didn't blow me away, was very confusing, had loads of problems and was quite contradicting to what they previously had said!

There's footage of the customization menu and it shows 4 professions Warrior Elementalist Ranger and Necro. I'm guessing necro is the big surprise? It also shows the questionnaire, I'm interested in how having a dead sister or no knowledge of your parents plays into the storyline

If you've watched the videos, seen the pictures of the venue you'd know they've been working very hard. We will get tons of info about the necromancer, which has been confirmed as the next class reveal, sometime down the road.

Yeah I don't know what gameplay video you're talking about, because none of them are official. And they released the necromancer officially, they just don't have info on the site.

Necromancer has been revealed in the demo. Technically before Gamescom opens for us. Sneaky tricksy Anet ;)

Now that we've had a taste, we need to know more. I doubt anyone here who's watched the videos is thinking "oh, that's all I wanted to know about the necro". It's more like "wtf I need the class reveal on the main site so I can see all the coolness in one nice summarized package"

The dead sister would make an awesome choice for the necro.... Maybe you were trying to bring her back to life so you started doing some black magic voodoo and accidently turned her into a minion

Yes there was, and I assumed like everyone else that it'd be like the previous annoucements with the webpage and the videos.

Public acess for GamesCom starts tomorrow though, so if there really is gonna be a 'propper' annoucement it'll be today. As in, in a few hours or overnight at worst.

A profession reveal was never promised, it has simply been assumed based on this quote from Jeff Grubb.

And we've known that the Necromancer would be in to some degree for quite awhile now. It's been confirmed before GamesCom opened to the public. As for a reveal on the site, he simply said that there 'should' be one, not that there 'would.'
