No.
The complete weapon list is as follows:

One-Handed: Axe, dagger, mace, pistol, scepter, and sword.
Two-Handed: Greatsword, hammer, longbow, shortbow, rifle, and staff.
Offhand only: Focus, shield, torch, and warhorn.

There are no other weapons.

Scythes will not be making a return in the initial release of GW2. They're not even a part of concept art.

This is the final weapon list for now:

Quote

One-Handed: Axe, dagger, mace, pistol, scepter, and sword.

Two-Handed: Greatsword, hammer, longbow, rifle, shortbow, and staff.

Offhand only: Focus, shield, torch, and warhorn.

All except, you know, environmental weapons. So there could be a random farmers scythe in the world or something.

Unfortunately, no. Here is the list of playable weapons according to the Guild Wars 2 official website:

Hopefully Arena Net will add Dervishes, as well as the other regions from Factions, Nightfall, and EotN in future campaigns.

Yes, that is right. As a matter of fact, 6 professions will be from GW1, while 2 professions will be brand new (or it might be a figure of 5 and 3). Of course, some professions will not be making a return - such as the monk.

We already know 4 professions: elementalist, warrior, ranger and necromancer.

Right. 6 From the original Guild Wars, 2 we've never seen before. We don't know if they'll be adding more professions with later expansions.

To be fair, without looking at the concept art, which I have not done, you can't know that there will not be scythes. You just know that they will not have a particular function unto themselves. For example, there could be weapons with a scythe model but is considered an axe for all intents and purposes. (This is done in Diablo II as an example)

Edit: This isn't meant to say that there may be scythes (as people have mentioned it's not included in the concept art), simply that it's not necessarily a stupid question.

An axe by any other name will still be an axe. I don't think he's asking if there will be scythe looking weapons, but scythe dependent skills. Just because my sword is made of wood, blunt, and fragile, doesn't mean it's not a sword :P
It's safe to say that there is no scythe, and will be no scythe (as far as release goes), in Guild Wars 2, as they have mentioned.

Ahh, edit fail, I'm tired... No, I agree with you entirely. I don't think there will even be anything that LOOKS like a scythe, but that fact is lesser known. And while an axe by any other name would chop wood as well, an axe that looks like a scythe, while still doing the same thing, would be roughly 10x cooler. (I won't get into the exact amount of coolness multiplier as it gets into some rather complicated calculus involving the integration of the average persons psyche over the period of time they feared the Grim Reaper during childhood minus the integral of the amount of attention payed over the interval of time spent watching the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.)

Yeah, that's the most likely way it might make an appearance. Just a sort of random easter egg, probably not something you'd use much.
