Thanks to this video, I could finally see the Death Shroud skills.

Skill 1-Deathly Swarm, Send out a poisonous swarm of insects that moves from target to target, 1 second recharge.

Skill 2-Haunt, Command your shadow fiend to teleport to an enemy, 10 second recharge.

Skill 3-Doom, make an enemy feel Fear, 20 second recharge.

Skill 4-Life Transfer, steal health from nearby enemies and transfer it to yourself as life force, 40 second rec

*Note*, this is from the Charr Necromancer demo.

Hey, I can make out ALL of his normal skills too!  Equipment for the first 5 is Dagger+Warhorn

1. Necrotic Bite-Slash at an enemy and collect life force, 12 energy.

2. Life Siphon-Steal an enemy's health to heal yourself, 111 energy, 12 second recharge (I'm guessing this one is improved by traits)

3. Dark Pact-Sacrifice health to damage and blind an enemy, 166 energy, 20 second recharge

4. Wail of Doom-Emit a wailing noise so vile and terrible that it dazes enemies, 322 energy, 30 second recharge.

5. Locust Swarm-Summons a series of hornets, which will hover around you and steal life from enemies that get close, 156 energy, 40 second recharge

6. Summon Blood Fiend-Summons a blood fiend, which transfers health to you each time it attacks, 333 energy

7. Summon Bone Minions-Summons 3 bone minions, 156 energy?

8. Rigor Mortis-Fix your bone fiend in place and make its attacks immobilize enemies, 111 energy, 50 second recharge

9. Poison Cloud-Summons a cloud of poison to loom over an area and poison the enemies caught within, 200 energy?, 90 second recharge

10. Plague (shown in red text in game, elite skill)-Turn yourself into a cloud of plague.  Any enemies you touch are contaminated with multiple conditions, 1108 energy, 720 second recharge?

Necromancer Downed Skills!

*same as his Life Force skills*

The trail he's leaving is awesome. Especially when he 'travels back through it'.

Duration was short, and 40 second reuse, you are NOT going to be using this often :D

Want me to list all of the necromancer's Dagger, Horn, and 3 minion abilities?

The coolest thing is... the Blood Horror... the level 1 minion, is the HEAL ability.

Yes folks, you heard me right. A HEAL. Lol! It drains health on attacks and gives it to you! (but for the life of me I have YET to see what its other ability is, the one that is available when it is summoned. My *guess* is that it sacrifices the pet to heal you)

The devourer is a Bone Horror, dealing ranged damage. Its ability is so well named: Rigor Mortis (cute), makes the pet stationary and it immobilizes the foes when it attacks.

The Bone Minions ability says it summons 3 minions, but it summons 4, which is likely a Trait thing that isnt shown. Its ability EXPLODES a minion, and did like 1k AE damage, but has an extensively long reuse timer. Still, MINION GO BOOM, and it is the necro's highest damage attack in the video.

Other abilities of note:

DAGGER:
1. Necrotic Bite, slash an enemy (ranged) and steal some Life Force (class mechanic.) Only move yet known to boost Life Force besides having near by deaths (and the Siphon Life skill in Death Shroud mode)
2. Life Siphon, a long reuse channeled life steal that heals caster while hurting foe, seems REALLY potent at that!
3. Dark Pact, deal damage to foe and cause them to Bleed, but uses necro's health to cast it. (obviously synergy with Life siphon)

HORN:
1. Wail of Doom, deals frontal cone damage and causes Daze to foes hit.
2. Locus Swarm, summons locus around yourself that damage and steal life from near by foes.

Other non-minion abilities:

Poison Cloud, ground target cloud that harms foes over time within the cloud (think something was mentioned about minions having a synergy with this skill.)

Elite skill:

Plague, transforms user into a plague cloud (like elementalist's tornado), 720  second (!!!!) reuse time. Any enemies you touch are inflicted with multiple conditions!

Thanks for clearing that up, on Fear :). EDIT: Wait a minute, the OP mentions a 20 sec recharge? KITSUNE, LIAR! SHUN THE HERETIC!... Or something D:

As for Poison Cloud; yes it's been mentioned pets can run through it and start inflicting poison on enemies by biting them. I'd imagine minions can do the same :p (not necessarily biting, though xD).

I see what type of attributes the players will be getting when the person opened the character profile window. Strength, agility, intelligence, vitality, perception, and willpower. The necromancer (and possibly other scholar professions) will be using the last four attributes as their primary.

Also worth noting that Life Force is drained instead of Health while you are in that mode, both over time AND when you take damage.

This is how this Death Shroud will likely balance out, a good quick focus fire and you just ruined all that necro's hard work!

The second video is nice as well, shows some flashy and pretty neat elementalist skills in the beginning (like the tornado skill) before moving on to the ranger and warrior.  As a side note, I really wish more of these demo players figured out that "Whirling Defense" is for projectiles.  :(

I plan to do a breakdown of the Elementalist skills next, but a GW 2 q&a is incoming :D

And class is in 1 hour, 30 minutes :p

WoW is not the only other MMO. Fear was not introduced as first in WoW. Guys, just stop crying about GW2 resembling other MMOs already, especially WoW, while it has the least similar with it.

i was just going to say that...my spiritmaster uses fear all of the time in Aion to get out of jams...i've used it in CoX too, so some geek researcher would have to go out there to find out what game used it first...then again, it goes back to the 80s with DnD so...there has to be some button to press whenever someone screeches "WoW clone!" you know, some sort of instant vaporize or scabies or something...damn monkeys....

I really don't care where they found their inspiration for fear, I just don't like skills that make you lose control over your own character :(

I hope it's a different effect.

Fear as we know it was in Ever Quest 1, which means as early as '99.

Only, imagine if it could last for.. a REALLY ... REALLY long time. This mamby pamby fear these days aint got nothing on the minute+ duration fears of EQ1, along with the Snare+dot abilities of equal length lol.

Its the same as a stun + character displacement. If someone knocked you down and used a pull move that moved you, or a move that pushed you away, it would be the same effect.

The fear didnt seem to last more than 5 seconds at any rate, I'll go check for sure.

MUHHAHAHAAHAHHHAHAHA! Took flipping forever but I FINALLY found it in the video. The ******* only mouses over it for literally 2 frames if even.

The secondary ability on the Blood Fiend is called:

Taste of Death. consume your Blood Fiend to heal yourself.

i love the whole feel of the new necro, death shroud, fear, insects and all...not to get all fanboy, but imo they really have succeeded in making very distinct classes...each with very specific flavors...the minions rock, melee is useful, powers of darkness and all that are freaking amazing and slick...side note, i like how the environment is recognizable to us but updated...side side note...as uber cool as this and the previous 3 professions are, i still haven't found "The One".....

For all u people complaining about 'fear', u dont even know what inflicting fear of an enemy does, it make them weaker or something, just because it has the same name as a spell in another MMO, it dosent mean it does the same thing.

The fear only lasted 2ish seconds, enough for the enemy to be repelled a few metres.
Around 6:42 of the necro vid
