I really like how, as an engineer, you learn something new from every engineer you meet. There are so many different ways to play an engineer that everybody does it differently and each one you meet can help you play the class a little better.

My favorite thing to do is use Elixir S, run into the middle of combat, use Blunderbuss, Jump Shot in place, activate my Grenade Kit, spam grenades, and then use the Tool Kit's Gear Shield to escape. I also dabble with elixirs as support.

i like the industrial, steam punk look of engineers, you sir nailed it!  and thanks for bringing this thread back to life, it was hurting my heart to see the engi with only 9 pages of screenies when every other profession has 21 pages.

No problem!  Engineers aren't the most popular class in the game, but that's what makes us so unique and fun to play!  I'm just glad I'm able to contribute to this forum even if it's just a little bit!

Nice! I really like the mix of SE armor with the rascal coat!  A very mechanic look!

the many faces of my engineer.  from left to right:

1) vera rifle, starter goggles, hotw gloves, karma coat, rascal pants and boots, hidden shoulders.  dyes are midnight fire and heirloom with some pitch here and there and fog on the shiny parts of the gloves.
2) grenade kit, noble eyepatch, rascal coat, t1 norn gloves, rascal boots and pants, hidden shoulders.  dyes are pitch and heirloom mainly with fog on the shiny parts of the gloves again.
3) flamethrower, whisperers shoulder/gloves/boots, commando coat/pants, SE helmet.  dies are tungsten and heirloom mainly with some midnight fire mixed in.

yes I realize my dye schemes are pretty boring, but I like them.

Finally brought my engineer to 80, got him the gear that I always wanted to have on an engineer and now I think I'll stop playing him since I don't particularly enjoy him. I'll probably just plant him in Fireheart Rise and use him for P1 runs.



And yes, I am just re-using the shot of my ranger, because ALL my charr look exactly the same and both my adventurers are charr with the same armour. Although my ranger might have the armour in Ebony while my engineer has it in Tarnished Steel.

Who wants exciting dyes on a gritty post-apocalyptic survivor?  I think your dye schemes are exactly right for the character you seem to have developed.  Very nice.

That's the starter's hood for thief, you can create a thief and transmute that hood to a white quality helmet and and transfer it to your engineer via bank and get that item.  And I can't get a real clear view of the color but I'd say that dye is abyss judging on the dark black color it's giving off.

Engineer is the last profession for me to level, and so far I've been kinda iffy on it. Don't like rifle, don't like bombs, don't like grenades, don't like turrets, flamethrower is meh...friend suggested I unlock elixir gun ASAP. That suggestion made engie playable for me - I love my elixir gun and elixirs.

T1 armor because spending money on pretty armor helps to motivate me to play a character. I like her quite a bit, I don't see this face or hairstyle used very frequently at all.
