Unless you stack healing power, the actual well healing part is basically inconsequential once you get past the newbie levels. My marks of blood heal more per second.

Granted if you do stack healing power, it scales fine, one piece of healing power gear can almost double how much each tick heals (but that's still only increasing the healing amount by about as much as that same gear would increase another healing skill even if it would only be like a 20% increase).

I think they should keep the scaling how it is but load more of the initial healing from the burst to the HoT. Otherwise if you're not geared for healing power it's just a generic self heal with a combo field tacked on in exchange for a long cooldown.

Or maybe the combo field is enough of a benefit to make it a unique enough skill without healing gear.

It has a great healing power scaling (compared to other classes' aoe heals) and is definitely useful in any support build. Also the combo field is Light, not Water, so it's rather weak on the combo field scale. Light is arguably the weakest combo field..

I believe all wells are dark type fields.

Nah, only the utility wells are. The healing well is a light field. Also the spectral wall skill is an ethereal field, thus necro actually has some diversity in its combo outlets.

i think the main problem with it is that it is a well. how many situations are there were you can stand it in for 10 seconds?

WoB is light.

Though I don't think its too bad -- projectiles remove conditions.
