First, let me post the pics of the set as alot of people are asking for it. All temple vendor armors have the identical models.

Light | medium | heavy (PvP set names are Armageddon, Rugged, and Heavy Armageddon respectively).
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

For those who don't know already , in the three Orr zones (Straits of Devastation, Malchor's Leap and Cursed Shore) are the various Cathedrals devoted to some of the gods in GW2 (i.e. Balthazar, Dwayna, Lyssa). Each Cathedral require an event to capture (10-15 people event) and once captured a karma vendor spawns that sells Level 80 exotic gear for 42k karma each. There are 6 temples scattered around the three zones (one of them is not really a temple but rather entrance to Arah dungeon) and each vendor sell different sets. The different sets have different stats allocation and different runes attached to them but have identical looks. This means you can easily min-max and get the stats you want by going to the six vendors and picking the pieces you want and then just buy the runes on the Trading Post (cost 40-70 silver each).

To make it easy for min-maxing, I have listed the locations of all six vendors and listed their stats in a chart format. Hopefully you will find it useful!

Dulfy,

I can't say thank you enough for putting all this information together in a neat and easy to understand method.  Many thanks for your efforts.

I would get these but when it costs that much karma and every jack and harry aleady is wearing them I have no interest in them or looking like everyone else.

One and a half, probably. 161k karma with a character that's 162 hours in 22 days old.

Just an FYI:

None of the sets have Power/Precision/CritDmg (Berserker's), Power/Precision/Toughness (Knight's), Power/CritDmg/Vitality (Valkyrie), or Power/Precision/Condition (Carrion).

At least not for Medium Armor, which makes farming Karma all but useless for those builds (or Power builds in general).

yeah you are better off doing CoF for power+prec on the armour, I don't like the sets of stats they give you with these...

I agree, that pink is horrible horrible horrible.  It's hard to look past it and it makes the armor look unbelievably ugly.

But, looking past the pink, those armor sets are awful.

Yeah, the light set is pretty bland, but I guess it gives those who dislike the robe skirts something.xP
The heavy set is your typical spiky armour set, without any interesting or unique theme going on whatsoever.
The medium set is quite ok, though.

I guess more Karma armor will be added later, so save up!

honestly guys I don't care about the look of this armor as I will use it for stats.  Each piece I will then skin over or use depending on if it meets a particular look.

I save skins I like for end armor and weapons for this exact purpose.

That's another set of items I won't be spending karma on. Good grief, if that is armor associated with the gods, the humans of Tyria should be on their knees crying tears of joy that the gods left them.

I agree. Crafted armor looks better and is easier to farm anyway. I made 5 pieces of my exotic crafted armor n less time than it took to acquire 42k Karma.

I was at 80k karma when I crafted my own exotic armor. Could've done it earlier, but I wanted to see the temple armor in preview and perhaps get coat and pants if they looked good, to save some gold. Five minutes after seeing them in preview I was at the tailoring station making myself full exalted. :)

Just saying, the easiest way to get a max stat armor set is crafting the body armor and pants, and buying with dungeon tokens the others 180 each one, shoulders 210, you will get better stats (if you want power/prec/critdmg or those other options not available with karma), much better looks, and in much less time, I don't really see a point in farming these sets.

that set is just not worth it.

ANet should have put the better looking armor sets for that price.

Even the cultural tier 3 is average at best imo...

It looks really good depending on how it's dyed, and on the build of the character. Since I play an extremely skinny male, and use contrasting colors with either a gold or silver/steel tone on the ornamentation, it looks great.

It's based on the elite kurzick set, which is my main farming set on GW1, so I like it a lot.

Or you could just go to the PvP locker and see the armor for yourself.  The Armageddon armor is one of the early unlocks in PvP. I have it by being rank 17 and winning a few tournaments.

I think every temple should have a slightly different look at least =|.

As I progressed, I realized that the selection of armor is severely limited for a game that puts emphasis on aesthetics over stats.

I have 256k karma, enough for 1 set. I started at 90k before farming by zerging. It took about 4-5 days of 4-6 hours each day to get he necessary karma.

I wish I can use light armor skins on my medium armor ranger =p...

why is it that I find that the more expensive time-wise it is to get an exotic armor in this game, the less I like how it looks?

I'll just craft the exotic pieces for fractions of the time with the stats I want and transmute good skins onto them and save my karma for getting the obby shards for a legendary whenever I decide to go down that route.

Unless you want the skins, I don't think that getting this armour is very necessary, though. It is much easier and faster to just buy the exotics or use a week to farm them from dungeon(s). You also ought ot get bter stats
