According to the guild from ANet at level 80 an engineers will have 916 points across the board in each attribute (power, precision, vitality, etc.), where as every other class has a number of higher stats.
For example ( Naked at 80 stats as listed by ANet's guide):
Engineer:
Power: 916
Precision: 916
Toughness: 916
Vitality: 916
Attack: 916
Critical Chance: 4%
Armor: 916
Health: 15,082
Thief: (this one looks really out of whack, so I am not sure of its validity)
Power: 2054
Precision: 1166
Toughness: 1771
Vitality: 1571
Attack: 2054
Critical Chance: 14%
Armor: 1771
Health: 17,355
Elementalist:
Power: 1216
Precision: 1016
Toughness: 1016
Vitality: 1016
Attack: 1216
Critical Chance: 9%
Armor: 1091
Health: 11,805
Warrior:
Power: 1276
Precision: 1246
Toughness: 916
Vitality: 916
Attack: 1276
Critical Chance: 20%
Armor: 916
Health: 18,372
I could go on, but as you see the other professions all have higher base attributes at level 80, at least in a few attributes.
So why does the engineer have such low attributes, were they nerfed hard at some point in beta? Can any one confirm these numbers at all?
Thank you.
Why do Engineers have the lowest 'base' stats at level 80?

If those numbers are true that's pretty messed up. Especially considering that engi's dont' get weapon stats/runes while in a kit.

Yep - http://wiki.guildwar.../wiki/Attribute
"The total by level 80 is 916 in each attribute for all professions."
Your trait selection and gear choices affects the rest.

I don't know where your numbers came from, but it looks like the other classes had trait points assigned in their stats while the Engineer did not.
Here are Engineer stats with a 30/30/0/0/10 build ...
Power :1216
Precision :1216
Toughness :916
Vitality :916
Attack :2440
CritChance :18.29
Armor :1980
HP :15082
These stats seem to be in line with the other professions you listed.

Yeah that part of the guide is not true so don't mind it. Every class have the same attribute. They don't have the same armor and HP though but engineer is middle line on both.
