Just read a devpost that they are working on fixing autoattacks for kits (and probably ele conjures too). This is good news, I hope we'll get the fix sooner rather than later ;)

mmmh no word on losing the weapon stat when switching to a kit in WvW i have 1300 Life lost after switching to a kit :(

^^^ i think the community should focus on stats affecting kits over auto attack. so you have to press 1 a few times in a row, not that bad. weapon stats would be a better buff to the class then auto attack ever will.

As much as I'd rather keep my stats on the weapon after a kit swap I've gotta say that the autoattack with a kit is more an immediate quality of life change for me. Yes, it sucks to lose quite a few stats, but having the auto not work on the kits just makes for irritation every time I play my engy :(

Seeing as kits give about the same attack power boost as weapons do in pvp, I couldn't care less about stats. Being able to use swap sigils would be awesome though, we're the only class who can't use those sigils.

In my opinion, auto attack on kits is just useless because most kits aren't auto targeting

What's so great in auto bombing in the wind ? Auto grenade when there is nothing ?

I use them when I need it and I am aiming at something, if it is on auto attack it is just plain useless, I wont be able to use other usefull stuff at the exact moment (flash grenade, chill grenade, glue bomb etc), I will lose about 1sec of reactivity. 1 sec later for grenade and bombs = the opponent already moved out

Flamethrower is already on auto attack, Elixir Gun, I never use it.

Tool Kit, I usually only use skill 3 because it does the most instant damage.

I rather have stats and sigil work for kits

In Spvp it doesnt matter so much in PvE and WvW it is a huge disadvantage i have 56 Vit and 56 Toughness on both Weapons i lost them after switch to a kit. Same goes with +krit damage + condition damage and so on.

Autoattack is just a little disadvantage, and btw. kit do not have the same weapon damage as the exotic 80 weapons.

Maybe this is true if you aren't using mouselook and holding right click down.  This is the most efficient way to battle in WvW.  Auto attack would help immensely in button mashing.

I mean, Ctrl-Right Clicking my attack power every time I switch kits doesn't take long. However, when you do it a million times per play session, it gets old fast!

Unfortunately I'm long used to my 1 & 2 macro that I spam in order to simulate auto-attacking, but it will be nice anyway to not have to use any silly macros.

I'd love if grenades AA had a combat only permanent aiming circle.

They've been 'working on this since' since BWE1 and I'm sure even longer. This isn't news.

It's a tech issue apparently and if it was going to happen it would have already. I'll believe it when I see it in live.

For the last time, they aren't mutually exclusive.

Both are absolutely needed.

as i said dozen oftimes before, it will take years.
I asked for support from this board and even in official forums, but people where to busy with crying for more DAMAGE!!!.
