Finally I got my Twilight done
It's really a good feeling reaching this goal after 1,5months of hardcore-farming
I spent approximately 1,1 Mio Karma, 350g for T6 Mats+Lodestones+Runestones, 500ectos I farmed myself.
Additional 170g for rare GS. Actually I obtained Dawn from the mystic forge. I sold it und bought Dusk with the money.

Tempted to sell it on the AH for...I don't know - 3.000 gold? I mean, there's definitely someone out there who'd buy it - if you bought all other mats right after, you'd probably look at what...at least 1500 G profit to do the couple dungeon runs and karma farm all over...

Finished my Juggernaut today - kinda weird to dye the armor with it - the effect isn't dyable so you can pretty much only take celestial white for it to look good.

I just had my husband craft the Gift of Wood for me 01/02/13 and it is now account bound so he is unable to mail it back to me.  I'm not sure if that was intentional but that sucks because now it looks like on top of everything else we have to do, we have to lvl Huntsman and LW?

Also I noticed you have the Gift of Might and Magic reveresed with the ingrediants in your original post.

I believe Gifts have always been account bound but not soul bound allowing you to have an alt, possibly, that had the second craft to 400.  If they weren't account bound, they'd have to be soul bound or else you could just buy them on the TP.

Good luck to you, although I hear that more and more "long horrible process".... why would you do it then?  This game should be fun, not horrible!

I am just embarking on my quest to get Twilight, I maxed armorsmithing last night, I have maybe 2-10% of each t6 mat needed and only about 27g to my name...its gonna be a long road.

I need the following:
98 lodestones
around 200-150 of each mat
dusk
runestones
and 150 ectos

how should i get this+
i got 400g stored

Did anyone ever try if you can put the skin on a white item and switch it to another character btw?

Or is that the prerogative of the story-starting items only? That those soulbounds will turn into accountbounds?

Anyone know the best place to farm charged core/lodestones. Should i just go farm sparks in cursed/melchors or run CoE explo ?

UPDATE: Out of curiosity I transmuted my Juggernaut today and it DID indeed become ACCOUNTBOUND. You lose the Purple colour - but the skin is the same, effects are the same. Wearing my Legendary on a new Level 2 Guardian right now!

Don't give up! I set out on my quest to get Frostfang about two months ago, Just got it tonight and it was one of the most rewarding feelings I've experienced in an MMO. I considered giving up for a while due to the outrageous amount of money but it just took time and paitence to finally reach my goal. Keep in mind that Anet intended this to be a long term goal. not a short one!

Thanks buddy, I only started like last week but Ive been amassing rare mats for a while just for money purposes. But now I want to direct it towards Twilight. Though with University I think it'll take me more than two months, and by then there might be something else entirely...

Hello. I'd like to seek some advice as I delve into making my legendary. I'm aiming for a Sunrise and so far I have banked 87g through map completion drops/minimal tp flipping @ 2g~/day. My thief is at 99% on her map completion, I'm just waiting for the battlegrounds pois/vistas to open up. The precursor weapon is currently at 300g so I'm going to continue saving up for that although I've heard that there will be new patch where you can craft your precursor...(?) so should I wait for that? I'm also slowly saving up mystic coins/ectos, but should I start buying them? I have around 200,000 karma on my guardian and around 147,000 on my thief so far. As far as I understand, around 2,000,000 Karma should be sufficient for the other karma-requiring items. I also have 57-ish vials of karma from dungeons and a small amount of jugs of Karma. I do not have most of the t6 items yet but I intend to farm Orr with a few friends as soon as I switch back from another server. I also finished getting my gift of ascalon and I am maxed out on Weaponsmithing/Armorsmithing for the other two gifts. One of my main concerns is the crafting of Mystic Clovers... How much should I prepare for it to get 77? I plan to get the badges of honor next, I'm expecting 40 from the map completions in which I already got 11. I tried the jumping puzzle recommended on Unbeatable's guide but I just suck at it so I'd like to ask for advice on that too.

Given all those, what should I start doing next? I don't intend to get my legendary in a month or so because I know I have a long way to go but I really do want to start making progress towards that goal as I keep playing and etc.

I'm just about 75% with mine and what I would suggest is:

1.Farm karma till you got your 100 obsidium shards
2. Farm what ever more karma you need to make your clovers
3. Do a lap of the zones that spawn orchicalcum viens at least once a day to get mats for gifts
4. Forget about your precurser till you got everything else made, its the most expensive (unless your lucky) Also try the mystic forge I got my precurser from 6 trys in the mystic forge using rares, you might get lucky you might not.

As to getting  t6 mats not sure as I sold all the mats to get money but I got lucky and got 500g now and I just keep em. Try get what you can with clovers and then farm up or buy the rest.

For WvW the only really good way to do it is jumping puzzels, I spent 1.5 weeks in WvW every night and I did EB and my own borderlands jp each day on 2/3 toons. Doing EB jp on a very low lvl toon is a waste of time as you get like 2 badges. Also a good idea is to do the EB jp with other people as its full of *s.

Thats just the way I'm working towards mine, others may have better ideas.

Thanks. I've been so confused as to what to do but I think you're right on the farming Karma part. I will do that next as I farm DE on Orr and hopefully getting my lodestones as well. And I suppose there's no other way I can do the badges unless I do the jumping puzzles... I've decided to get mystic clovers as I go, with the 1 clover recipe as opposed to the 10 clover recipe. Thanks for the heads up about the precursor as well. I never would've thought of that if you didn't mention it because all I've been doing is just farming rares/exotics and selling them.

I would start with the Clovers, since they are so random.  Per the wiki, using the 1 Clover recipe, you need approximately:
139 Skill Points
485,100 Karma
231 MysticCoin
231 Ecto

This is why you should always refer to the wiki rather than someone's guide. That has to suck, that's a lot of wasted expensive mats.

At least the Gift of Might is the cheaper one. I would ragequit if I wasted soo many mats for another Gift of Magic

What i ment is the EB jumping puzzle can be full of players from other servers just griefing and setting up siege weapons in the jp, so its best to run with a few people or get a mesmer to portal you from the start to the top was ment to say its full of d1cks

Haha I see, thanks! And good tip about the mesmers because I never knew that. I'm currently out of town right now but I'm excited to try the jp again... hope this time I'll have more progress.
