I just did this now, and it is labeled Account Bound! Which is definitely new, since I've done it before(3+ weeks ago) with one of the starter helms and it said Soul Bound.

Depends on the armor really because the colour changes.  On my elementalist I was using tier 1 cultural light armor and midnight fire looked brown, but the cabalist rare set I purchased it looks black.  Besides that I usually change it mutiple times a day I can't decide.

My most recent Ranger, currently level 36.

She uses black, pitch, pride, blue shade, blue ice. Honey ice and pumpkin are used just a teeny bit for the helm.
Of course, the shoulders are hidden.

Tried to make some more festive seasonal combos. Sorry for the picture sizes :S Also, COE armor has a slightly gray cast to it in parts so the colors will be more vibrant on other armors.

Sth Like Tea Jeans+Pottery(Deep Maple is good as well). In general-teal+brown colours work REALLY well on anything but Metal Armours(soldiers...). It is Teal/Brown on Cloth and Brown+Teal on Leathers. For Metals I like metallic colours(who would have said that eh?) and either brown or royal red or royal blue(Iron colours go especially good with brown colours while Silver/Gold ones go especially good with those two Royal colours). It could be just me tho...

It seems as though I am currently obsessed with Charcoal/Gold mixes on heavy armor. Although, as someone said earlier in this thread, one of my favourite dyes on heavy is Heirloom. It has phenomenal depth to it and really brings out the accents in certain armor sets. I also love Midnight Fuchsia and Burgundy, especially on cloth. Although Burgundy looks phenomenal on plate, too.

Next project is going to be a Female Sylvari Elementalist. Cannot wait to get the TA set/cultural armor!

This is my combination (which isn't that varied):
Abyss
White
Gray (On the hood, to match the rest)
Spring Leaf (Used on the hands to create an illusion that the area is open and the "skin" is shown)

It's quite hard to get a decent combination with the Arah gear... Just need two more runs, then I'll have the legs. Might change the color scheme if it looks horrible then.

Hey guys!

I wanted to show you here some mix of mine that I find acceptable.
The main perk of this dye/armor combo is that it costs only a few golds.





It is a sober, pure style, that in my opinion fits the Guardian perfectly. The blue recalls dignity and royalty. It imposes. For only a few coins.

Dyes :

- Mithril.
- Starry Night.

Pieces of Armor :

- Head: Vigil
- Shoulder: Wern Spaulders
- Chest: Pagga's breastplate
- Wrists: Crafted exotic
- Legs: Crafted exotic
- Feet: Crafted exotic

Note :

- I intend to update from Starry Night to Sapphire; But Sapphire costs more and I'm poor.
- The In Game rendering is more ivory teinted than orange-pinky, as you could think it is according to the character selection screen.


I spent ~50 Silvers on dyes, a few hundreds of karma on Chest & Shoulders and ~2gold for the helm.
The most gold is spent on crafting/buying exotic crafted armor; However, as you don't only buy it for the style but also for the stats, I don't think it can be considered a huge amount.
