Thank god for transmogrification/transmutation. Or else my Charr Warrior would like a Japanophile wielding sunrise.
[/quote]

huh? did I read right, that you'd get a legendary and then transmute it? :o

Question, feedback or issue? Pm me!

So judging by the looks of the pistol and rifle... engineers have been screwed over as expected. Neither of those suit the engineer at all (the rifle is a sniper rifle whilst engineers use the rifle as a shotgun).

I would have expected some thought to have been put into ensuring at least one legendary suited each profession...

To clarify, as we receive 2 gifts of exploration, does that mean that we can craft 2 legendary weapons per character?
They are account-bound.  So you could use an alt to get more for your main.

ummm... where in my post did i complain about lack of gear progression? I just think the Quip looks like a piece of crap, and i don't have a lot of options as an engineer.

IMO, legendaries should have better stats than exotics, and if you don't like the weapon skins then you can always transmute. Even if legendaries only gave me +10 extra power or whatever, I'd still farm for them, because every extra point counts. With how much time you spend getting them, it should be the way I described TO THE LETTER.

Oh my...calm down baby, it's alright.

How can I get Leaf of Kudzu of Rage?

Quote

They can be obtained by throwing 4 rare/exotic weapons above level 76 (research ongoing) of the type you want to obtain into the Mystic Forge (4x Greatsword for Dusk or Dawn) and getting lucky. Or you might be able to obtain them as loot from events or enemies while being out in the world.

So for The Leaf of Kudzu you'd need 4 x rare / exotic longbows above 76.

I was hoping for the staff and maybe one day to have it on my Mesmer however I don't like the look.
Now Twilight, that is another story however I'm afraid with the little time I have to play I would never be able to own one of these.
Oh well.

Is it just me or are most of the legendary in this gallery really ugly and seems out of place?

I guess it's nice if you just want to stand out..  The bows, scepter, mace and pistol are just ridiculous.

Most of the legendaries look bad imo, or at least the ones pictured. Outside of the two great swords sunrise and twilight (pics of twilight are online), the rest aren't worth any grind whatsoever.

But good luck to whoever decides to attempt the long haul for these.

Sorry for being rude here but...
Some of you really need to read the dam writing.
They stated In the article that the pics don't have the effects due to it not loading in the preview tool and  the weps are also sheathed in it.
They are also missing a couple of the other legendaries like Twilight, the other sword and a few others.
Shesh, some of you like really need to not spaz out about this stuff.
(they even said in the pics about that to)

...also, yay! For there finally being a Kudzo pic.
It looks so awesome . :D
It'll match my Sylvari quite well.

They're not meant to be gotten quickly.  They are simply a goal you can work toward over several expansions if necessary.  I expect to get my legendary in a couple years, to be honest.

Thing is the particle effect is irrelevent to some of these. Take Quip for example. It looks like a kid's bubble-gun toy or something. No amount of extra effects is going to change that.

To be honest a huge number of these look like they came out of candyland or something. They actually look like they came from a different game altogether.

Well, between the absolutely terrible stats (seriously? Who came up with the idea of having every one share the same stat spread and why that combo?) and the skins, looks like I probably won't be spending any time going for legendaries.

Kudzu and Sunrise are quite nice, but really not liking the others. And I usually love brightly colored things.

Because as everyone knows, Rainbow Dash is Best Pony.

The stats are just a base, The whole point is to get an awesome looking weapon to show off to people, which is why some of us are really dissapointed to see how crappy some of the look. If the stats don't work with your build then just use a transmutaion stone.

haha you're crazy. I'd much prefer to find a legendary I liked and use that :P not as if the extra 1 power will make any difference from an exotic :D

Back in WoW one guild I was in called me "Minimus Maximus", because I was always giving advice and for a short while was the raid leader in charge of handing out loot, based on who would benefit from it the most.

There's a method to my madness when it comes to mt reskinning idea.
The method is madness.

So if I want to run a shortbow build with a legendary I have to look like a Brony? Not cool...guess I either have to find a different build to run when I hit 80 if I want my Legendary to actually be used or tough it out. =/

I'd like to see a little more variety like maybe 2-3 Legendary weps per category so you have a choice.  If it's for looks and not stats then choice is really the whole shebang since everyone's tastes are different.

I'll wait to see them in action to make final judgement but so far most of them either look ridiculous or to be quite honest... incredibly effeminate.  Yes, I know some of these will work well for female characters who want to look cutesy and feminine (or as irony for males) but I am a male and so are most of my characters, certainly my mains.

At least I can go for Moot eventually and RP as a maddened and estranged Emmy award winner gone adventurer...

Disclaimer: No offense intended towards anyone of the Brony, effeminate males, cutesy females, or maddened and estranged Emmy award winner gone adventurer persuasions.  All contents in this post are how I feel about the Legendary weapons and their relation to myself/my characters... :D

Nope, it's not just you at all.  Those are AWFUL.  My main is a ranger and I sure won't be sporting that "My little pony" bow any time soon.Posted Image

At least the base attack stats are the same as any other level 80 legendary, so there's that option.

But yeah, the skins are...not all so great. All the particle effects in the world couldn't help some of them.

People please, stop whinning before seeing them on gameplay. The quality of those items is very lacking on preview mode.

To put an example: Fiery Dragon Sword looks bad and very weird in preview mode without the flames and that shape, but asolutely awesome on gameplay.

All this weapons (or most of them) have awesome and detailed particle effects, and I'm nearly sure KraitKin serpents will move alive (and maybe the Torch and the Shark on the Maw of the Deep move too, but not sure about those ones).

Just wait to see them ingame and then judge, those preview images never do justive to weapons with particle effects.

I'm hesitant to see some Bolt footage to see how the lightning looks.
