Hi all,

So my absolute favourite sword is the Icy Dragon Sword from Guild Wars 1, and it is apparently available in Guild Wars 2, but I have NO idea where/how to get it! Does anyone have any hints? I'm dying to get it and it would go so well with my armour. Any info would be hugely appreciated!

I don't think the Icy Dragon Sword exists in GW2, as I certainly have never seen one.

Aw really? I saw it was on the database, and I feel like I heard it somewhere else too. I'm really hoping it is.

It is definitely in the game, there are screenshots of Icebrood Norn duel wielding them. Sorry though I can't help you out on where to find it.

Thought it was a legendary.

Its not a legendary skin or else it wouldn't be available for preview in the pvp locker. Or at least I don't think so. There are some npc's in fire heart rise that carries them, and as I mentioned you can see it in the pvp locker. Me and my roommate are on the hunt for these. Will let you know. Hopefully we don't have to farm imps near granite citadel

Haha Thanks for the info. My only real guess would be, like most weapons, it's available in the Mystic Forge with a bit of luck!

There is a decen't chance it might be one of the MF recipes that require mystic coins.

its definitely in the game, some enemy mobs in the colder shiverpeaks zones run with them. where a player can get one though ive no idea.

I would like to know as well if they are in the game.  I want a character duel wielding a fiery dragon sword and an icy dragon sword.

Looks like the corrupted norn sword might have the same skin. Also Jormag's Breathe Of Ice.

There is Norn Sword on trading outpost but none for sale, so im thinking it has something to do with a mystic forge recipe.

This seems pretty likely.  There's a lot of Mystic Forge weapons, we only know a handful of them and they all have unique skins and are usually quite fancy.

It's definitely not a Legendary or a random drop, so it's the only option left.

Do want! It was my preferred sword for 4 whole years in GW, and if I can get it I can actually make a little story of a hand-me-down to one of my characters like how Rytlock found Sohothin.

Yeah, I'm thinking the only way it'll be acquired is through through the Mystic Forge. I think it would be neat if it could only be found in the chest after Claw of Jormag or something difficult like that. I like a little prestige.

a low (1% or lower) drop chance named exotic from each dragon would be awesome, especially if it was a pool of items. It would make killing the dragons more rewarding than they are currently.
