I think the two best looking ones, are the tier3 human armor and the whispers' female armor.
If I make a ranger female then these will be the ones I get.
There is also a leather one however I'm not sure if it is drops or karma from orr.

There is nothing wrong with liking the trench coats. There are some nice trench coat designs. The problem is that's almost all there is. Almost every single armor is a trench coat design or a tunic/skirt type design. No Shorts, No Mini Skirts, No Short Skirts, 1 Universal Tight Top, 1 Human Only Tight Skimpy Top and the rest are trenchcoats. That's far too many of one and not enough of the other.
As for mini skirts there is 1 Light Armor mini skirt and it's the starter skirt. You then get a few mid thigh/knee length skirts and the rest are floor length skirts. Again too many of one type and not enough of the other types. Also no shorts here and 1 pair of genie style pants.

Are those super hot? I dunno, I quickly previewd what my low level thief had in her bags, play with colors and they can be striking! This is just basic boring.
and you will look almost the exact same from the back, you know the view you see of your character throughout 90% of the game. I should dig out the images from the back that I did...matter of fact...
Armor from behind...
Notice that if these were silhouettes they'd almost all be the same or with a very little amount of difference for most of them.

I really want this badly for guild wars 2 or something similar. It is one of my favorites from guild wars 1.

(Yeah, i registered just to be able to ask this; I´m nothing if not cyber-vain!)

I made my Ranger a female norn because I liked T3 armor, and got it. Though, I do really really like human t3, but not really Rangery.

It's pretty disappointing really, they went too far with "fantasy" design but in the bad way.
For instance, maces.
The most widely loved one is the spiked mace, yet the game has NONE of them. 50 maces and none is a good old spiked mace.
Let alone unicorn bows, flower bows and other idiotic skins. Bleh.
Skin-wise GW2 is more akin to Hello Kitty online, almost nothing looks badass or fearsome.
They should have hired the armor/weapon artist from Aion, now those were good looking skins.

This is EXACTLY how they did GW1, and its EXACTLY why people that played GW1 loves it. Not for the overly fantasized armor and weapons. Guild Was has always been a more realistic based game when it comes to armor and weapons. Obviously they spice it up by putting unique skins in there, but the majority are not something that you'd find in a typical Korean MMO. If you want a game that has gigantic armor, and gigantic shiny weapons, then go play another game, because this game is far from that. VERY far from it.

That's exactly what I was saying man.
I want more realistic stuff, knighty plate armors, assassin outfits, realistic weapons, etc.
I don't mind fantasized version as long as there are realistic ones as well.
In GW1 a Warrior could wear some great armors like Primeval, 15k Plate, Knight's... and use realistic battle axes such as Victo's.
Assassins had all kind of shady outfits, Eles had some good non-gay wizard robes too.
I had an hard time trying to make my thief look like a Thief, and I'm still struggling to have my Warrior and Guardian look like a realistic knight.
I really like spiked maces and there is none. I like realistic longsword, there is none.
Maybe with time we'll get all this, I just don't get why in GW1 you looked like this:

And in GW2 you look like this:

I find that the medium armors have nothing in the middle. I feel either you choose trenchcoat or you choose overly sexualised korean armor.
With light I find that EVERYTHING is robes, it looks like EVERYTHING is made for an elementalist... And even the one armor I wanted so badly for my necro I can't even get in PvE.
I hope in the future they will add more options. And I actually hope they will add more armors from Guild Wars.
Armors I'd like to see in GW2 from GW:

Add Ranger Obi to that list too, by far my favorite armor for my ranger then.

I do hope they add in more armor skins that is obtainable thru gem shop AND armor skins that is obtainable killing stuff or doing dungeons. I had the impression that the game would focus on aesthetics and a lot less on gear stats.
