It might be a more serious problem, but try this, go to the audio tab in options and turn down the "music interval" slider lower, if not to nothing.

Also, the music, sadly, doesn't resemble Skyrim's music in style, which was atmospheric, its the same guy who did the GW1 music, so if you didn't like that, you won't like this.

check audio settings and make sure volume of music is turned up. max it if you have to.

yes the soundtrack was made by the guy who did music for elder scrolls games. most of them anyway. he is jeremy soule.

Some zones seem to be bugged and have no background music playing, but in most of them you should hear music.

Go to the menu and put the music interval slider to lowest. That would basically make the game play music nonstop.I keep it fairly low cause its quite nice and atmospheric..Gw2 is very high in my list of games with good music:)

Didn't you know?  You had to order Collector's Edition to get music.

Yeh I know and GW1 music, to me anyway, just seemed soooo, generic.

Alt-tabbing can kill the BGM until the next loading screen (perhaps due to the mute-while-in-background option). Though, frankly, you're not missing much. Nice to hear each piece once, but it gets old *FAST*.

I had no idea and actually thought it had to be highest level of interval. That's my backwards way of thinking for ya. All this time, I was playing in silence
