*I am not asking how duration stacking works, that's pretty self explanatory. I'm asking about how damage values are considered for conditions that only stack by duration.*
So, I play an Elementalist and I'm a little confused how burns and other conditions that stack in duration as opposed to intensity work. I understand that with bleeding it stacks in intensity, ie. the more stacks you have the more damage it does per second, but what about burning or poison?
Say I cast an 8000 damage over 5seconds burn and then someone else casts a 9000 damage over 5 seconds burn on the same target, will the 2nd burn effect just increase the duration of the first one or will it increase the duration and overwrite the damage? (As in, will it take the increased duration as well as replacing the lower value)
There really isn't that much clarification on how it works >_> All the tooltip says is that it stacks duration with nothing in regards to how damage variances affect the effect. Would be grateful for any help
Edit for clarity
