I know of only two good farming spots so far: Snow Trolls in the lvl 70-80 zone and the grubs that drop off giants in Orr in the 80 only zone. Does anyone else know of any good spots to farm for items (not for dungeon tokens)? I don't find the dungeon token farming as fun.

2nd question: Why is there no 'farming' forum in guild wars 2 guru like there was for guild wars 1? Is the expectation that no one will be interested in farming in GW2? I love the other aspects of the game, but I'm a farmer at heart... I just don't do it for Nick and Yakkington anymore.

I've created a load of farming guides on my website,

It is still heavily under construction in the Gw2 section but I am adding to it daily. Here are some of the better farming locations I have found:

I have most of Orr done but haven't added it to my website yet. I plan to do a full post here when I do.

If you're more of a video person here is one video I made for farming thus far:

I have actually found an amazing place to farm onyx cores. You get a group of all melee and one ranged dps and run the first boss of ta exp over and over and just keep resetting and doing again and again. It's it is very quick and you can make about 30g every few hours from it, but what you do is save up the onyx cores and then turn them into lode stones. Works like a charm.

Please don't bump 5 month old threads in Q&A. I'm pretty convinced the OP has moved beyond this question already.
