I'm having low fps with overall decent config. I can run most games on 60 fps.

In low densitiy outdoor areas, avg. 20 fps on high settings, 24 on low. In WvW, it's 15-20 most of the time. I should get at least 30 fps where there aren't 40+ people next to me casting, but stil..

My specs: GeForce 9800M GS, Intel Core2 Duo P7459 @ 2.13GHz
, 4gb ram, windows 7 64x

I'm very curious when my fps will get better. I won't even play until then...

Well my 2 cents is I don't know to when or if they ever improve for you.

Seeing as that laptop is a older one with the 9800m -> The mobile not helping you in this situation.
The CPU Looks alright I guess, but I mean for what this game is doing to very high end computers don't expect fps increases soon I would say if ever.

Your fps will get better when you buy a better computer. That CPU and GPU are very low-end by GW2 standards, and I doubt that you'll ever get any useful increase of fps with them.

But what about all the tests I did, to see if my computer can handle guilds war 2 . Look at the pictures. They all say i can run this game while. So then are the tests lying?

Programs are almost always a joke for system requirements. You have the min specs so you get to play with min enjoyment. Also they told you that you could run the game as you can, sorry if thats not what you would like to hear.

you passed the test on minimum, which means if you put the games graphics to the very lowest you should be able to at least run it.

Also, that is not a decent rig. That is a old rig. I don't belive for a second you can run any modern game with decent looking graphics at 60 fps with that rig unless you're setting it all to low-medium.

Yet none of those games are GW2....

Your computer isn't up to scratch to run this game at the frame rates you want.

First of all, like others said, your 9800 is a significant bottleneck. You passed the minimum checks and you can play the game minimally.

Second of all, yes, something is screwy with GW2's graphics. I have unusually low FPS too compared to other new games I play on my machine. This is not uncommon with a game like this right after release. I had the same problem with Rift when it was in beta, getting way crappier performance than was to be expected based on the raw numbers of my hardware. Just like here, the fanboys made endless excuses and, just like will happen here, Trion eventually tightened up the code in later patches to boost performance.

That said, with a 9800 I think even after that happens you'll still struggle. Yes, you can play WoW in high details with your graphics card from 2008. That's because WoW's graphics were last given a major overhaul in 2008. It's four years later and GW2 just came out. For equivalent performance in 2012, you'll need an equivalent card in 2012.

No. For the money, a 7770 is faster and cheaper.
