Hey guys,

I was wondering what you all consider to be the best armor in terms of stats.

That depends entirely on your build and how you play.

Helpful awnser... it's like saying to a new Poker gamer: win depend entirely on how you play and not explaining the rules.

For your Guardian it depend if you playing PvP/PvE/WvW. On PvE I push precision and power because I have already enough survavibility. For WvW I prefer Vitality/Toughness/Precision to be a bit more tanky.
I don't stack a lot of healing power because I have always better results with other stats.

No. It doesn't take much to understand what your class can do and be a bit more specific. If I was asked about Poker I'd say "it depends on what are you planning to play", meaning cash tables, SnG tournaments etc. If somebody comes and asks "Hi guys, what is that Poker game I keep hearing about?", I wouldn't start to explain everything to him, it would be too much of everything to be of any help anyway.

Yeah, because I should tell a new player exactly what I PREFER rather than giving him an objective answer, right? Wrong.

If someone is new to Basketball and they ask you which is the best position, you don't tell them "forward" or "center" or "point guard". You find out what their criteria for "best" is, or find out what they're good at and figure out which they would have the most fun in. If they ask you which position relies most on dribbling, then you can tell them "point guard".

If someone is new to Chess and they ask which pieces are the most important to open with first as black, you don't tell them "the pawn at E7", you explain to them that depending on how your opponent opens, it's best to respond with certain openings. If they ask what the best piece to open with is depending on a specific opening by white, then you can tell them the specific piece.

If someone wants to know what the best Guardian armor is, you don't tell them your opinion which is entirely biased to how you play. You find out what style they play with and advise them from there.

To answer OP

A) powr, prec, crit% = glass canon as in no hp (13k)  enjoy killing one person in wvw and dying 2 seconds later.

2 )  vit, tough, heal powr = support(26ish k hp with runes)  Must important roll on wvw and lots of pressure to know wtf ur doing.

C) powr/tough/vit = bunker  lots of power with no crit what so ever and a good 22k hp.  toughest build to acquire because is not craftable. However in my opinion the best way to enjoy  our class.  excellent for pvping solo on WvW

Is there really a gear set with Toughness, Vitality, and Healing? I've only been able to find Toughness, Vitality, and Power, and thats for Karma from the PvP Vendor in WvW.

It does depend on your trait build though.  If you're built around benefits from criticals, you need to add in a lot of precision.  If not, you go for a power build.

If you're going more support, runes will reflect what you want to get the most out of your boons/healing.  Likewise, an offensive setup will go for the proper damage boosting stats.

The only thing that's really universal between builds is the decision to between vitality or toughness.  Yet again, it depends on playstyle.  You go for as much toughness as you can to increase damage mitigation efficiency, and add in as much vitality as needed to avoid being one or two-shot from large attacks to deal with spike damage.  You also only stack as much defense as needed (personal playstyle preference), as excess is just wasted stats.

The easiest and most simple answer I can give, is that the best armor out there is the one custom tailored to fit you.

The Honor of the Waves explorable mode set has toughness/vitality/healing.

Also, the karma exotics from Temple of Melandru have precision/toughness/vitality.

Hey sorry but are you sure this exists? When I look at the God Karma list I don't see anything for that stat combo, if it does I would jump on it right away so are you sure? You do mean the God karma vendor?

The god karma vendor at the Temple of Melandru sells exotic heavy armor with the combination of Power/Toughness/Vitality. However, she doesn't sell the helmet or the boots.

This and another version:

Power/Toughness/Precision - pretty defensive but with a very high crit chance (knight armor/emerald set) about 14.5k HP works very well for my guardian WvW/PvE (3k attack - 3.4k armor) weapons Greatsword/ Sword/Focus !

Ok but precision/toughness/vitality doesn't exist right?
