no, he had it right. you requested his thread be deleted, and that was a jerk move that if anything, detracts from the quality of the forum more than duplicate threads.

did you you read the thread you linked (which was your own thread, so this is probably more about boosting your thread than cleaning up the forums)? it covers 3 longbows and 7 shortbows.

here is the longbow skin im shooting for, i havent seen anyone in game with it.

if you click the view in 3d, its basically a regular svanir bow but covered in ice. gw2db claims it shares a model with some other bows, but this is the only pve one with the ice effect (what the other bows share is the bow look w/o ice). the mats atm are about 20g.

Pirate bow=same skin for long and short
Steambow=longbow
Flamebow=longbow
Arcingbow=longbow
Modniirstinger=shortbow
Mystic Crescent=same skin as Arcing bow
Vigil bow= apart from size same bow
Avengersbow=shortbow
Ebonvanguard=same skin for longbow and shortbow
NornTier3=longbow
Krytanbow=longbow

I dont know about you, but I count 7 Longbow and 2 Shortbow (3 with Mystic Crescent)

And why would I 'boost my own thread', it wont make any difference for me if my thread would get alot of replies...

And duplicate thread actually does harm the forum quite alot, because all the discussion will scatter.

modinirs stinger: shortbow
mystic crescent: shortbow
some guy who doesn't know the names of the bows he likes, vigil weapons.

ebon vanguard: shortbow
norn cultural t3: longbow
krytan bow: comes in long and short, not specified by poster.


no matter how you count that, its not 9/10 longbow.

it being coincidence that a guy who started a similar thread wanting a competing one deleted, unlikely.
