We know there are a legendary weapon of every type but are there any legendary armour sets? if there aren't, i hope we will see some in the near future. These could be really cool looking and  be like the the forms of corrupted creatures like the Svanir and Branded creatures.

What i'd like to see.

Svanir Armour Set
Branded Armour Set
Primordial Armour Set
Night&Day Armour Set
Shadow Armour Set
Underwater Armour Set

At this time, there are no Legendary Armor sets equivalent to Legendary weapons.  Rest assured  something like this will be added in a patch or expansion in the future.  People largely seem to like this system.

given the skins of the legendary weapons, I get the feeling that at least one medium armor set would turn you into a character from my little pony.

they would really have to do something great with them, because to be honest I really don't even like most of the dungeon armor sets.  My engineer uses a mixture of order armor and story rewards, my necro is using crafted, my ranger will probably use crafted or possibly order, my warrior will either use crafted or cultural when I get to him, and for my other non created characters I will probably go with a similar mindset.

In GW1, the more expensive armors all looked better to me (gladiator to elite gladiator on warrior, scar pattern difference on necros, etc.)  In GW2, most of the "elite" armor (either orr karma, dungeon, etc) doesn't look that great compared to some of the order armor or in a lot of cases crafted armor imo.

Legendary Armor sets? Yikes, I can see the time sink for that. The materials will likely include a gift of grinding and a gift of farming.

Oh, they are called "Mist". Cool!
I wonder who will be first to discover the recipes.

Legendary weapons have the same stats as exotic weapons... The armor he is looking at is the sPVP armor.

It has a level requirement of 82, so it's only natural that they would have a higher armor rating. But do you know what's level 82? Upgraded Veteran Guards in WvW and the Legendary Defenders in WvW and Spvp . You're looking at NPC armor with the same skin icons as the invader's set.

Actually the level requirement is 80. It is however noted as being a level 82 item, as all max exotics on gw2db. SPvP armor has the rarity of exotic and same maximum stats. So that legendary armor still makes me wonder what it actually is :)

it shows req lvl 80, item lvl 82 (think how D3 had their items done)

Being that its called mist i would guess like someone said that that set is the spvp set.

And those items dont show stats for me, but instead that it has two runes?

Would be interested if its some item that was data mined and isnt yet available in game yet.

The 15K Elementalist gear looked way inferior to the 1.5K sets (the ones from Droknar, air, water, fire, earth).
But tbh I don't think dungeon armours are supposed to necessarily look cooler than crafted sets. It all depends on what kind of style you want on your character. Like if you want the kind of mecha look, get SE. If you want to look like a walking fireplace, get COF. Wanna be the new lich king, get Arah set.

PvP Mystic Forge/Reward chests.
For PvE, it's WvW armor. Bought with Badges.

I like the list of armor suggestion you have.

I could see some sexy glowie armors legendaries.

15k Hydromancer says "No". As do other sets.

False, look at this:

-Dusk (exotic greatsword): Damage: 995 - 1100
-Mystic Claymore (exotic greatsword): Damage: 995 - 1100 (I have this one so I can confirm this is the damage)

And then the legendary:

-Twilight: Damage: 1011 - 1117

So now tell me, what does more damage , exotic or legendary?

I'd love that, although I'm already reeling from how absolutely crazy the grind is to get 1 legendary xD

Only 1 gift of grinding, or was that per piece? :D

Eventually I'd like to see legendary armours, as long as they're decent enough... and hopefully don't cost 6x weapon cost.

Question, feedback or issue? Pm me!

You can't be serious. Even if Twilight did 17 more damage then the mystic claymore do you think thats anything to write home about? The weapon is one of at least 5-6 factors of your damage. How are you traited? What boons do you have? Runes? Sigils? Food buffs? Potions? Sharpening Stones? Utilities? Actual play skill? The Epeen player that rushes in feeling all Epic with his Legendary will be the first one in a downed state in the group.

If they made an armor set that made your body look like Twilight (the sword, not the crappy movie/books), I'd totally farm for the set.
