So is the Thief and Warrior the only classes that seem to take the least player effort or....

Just saying because I play an Elementalist and even though their little "dot em up then run and stealth " tactic almost never works on me because I expect it....

I can only imagine how many unaware players Thiefs kill just by doing that.

Then again...I might be being biased because I really don't like stealth mechanics at all.

Try fighting any half decent player with condition removal. lololo all we got is bleed weakness and poison, you ain't killing anybody with that unless they're horribad.

So the direct damage skills are countered by 'just dodge it' and the condition damage is countered by condition removal.

It's a wonder people die at all in this game.

If you trait right you still can theoretically be almost permanently stealthed so long as you do not prematurely break stealth by backstabbing early.

As much as I dislike the revealed debuff, I think that our profession does not need any further buffs, especially not to one of its most powerful mechanics.. Take this from a person who played thief since Alpha.

Also, 2c.

i dont understand why ppl think stealth is SO op? im not saying that it isnt a very powerful utility, im just trying to understand why ppl think its the most op-est op utility NOT just for a thief class, but in the whole game...

Our class is called a thief..so i think its pretty clear which of our skills should b the most useful and powerful set available to us.
Is trying to fight an invisible guy annoying? * yes, but does a thief steal ur tv while ur watching it? * no, he steals it without u knowing.
So does stealthing make everything that imbalanced? I dont think so..

Every class has some sort of aoe/cc yes? (plz correct me if im wrong) and if not at least u can swing ur sword around and not stand still like a chump. So if a thief goes in stealth do u just randomly place ur aoe 100ft from u? * no u simply place it on top of urself or cc and watch the thief un-cloak 5ft away from u looking all frustrated. There are so many ways to counter and even dps down a stealthed thief. A thief is not invincible when invisible, simply, invisible.

Yes, we can stay stealthed for a very long time if traited correctly, put 30 in shadows just to trait stealth, HiS, shadow refuge, blinding powder, shadow trap, smoke screen and HS thru and even 15 into trickery for preparedness and/or 20 into acro for quick recovery for more CnD...but what the hell are we sacrificing? muchmuch better traitlines, backstab hitting like bullcum cause of little to none of critical or deadly being traited, 30-60 CDs in all utilities, no condition removal, no stun break...u get the idea

Just an opinion of mine, but if u think about it, stealthing has already kind of been introduced to gw2 in a nerfed state. What i mean is it could have been brought to the game way more op than it did. And I think this revealed mechanic just does not suit a thief and what the meaning of a thief class is. Being forcibly unable to use the best skill under our belt is ridiculous. However, the 'idea' of the revealed mechanic is a great start and thus I agree with Minion. Maybe 2 secs of vulnerability like Minion mentioned? Or reduced speed for 'x' secs? Reduced out going dmg for 'x' secs?

every class has their own unique skill, this is ours, dont rip it apart to a point a thief is no longer a thief.

Heh, one of your tags is very correct minion ;)

But seriously, you cannot have a working pvp without revaled.  Period.  Maybe stealth needs an overall nerf even.

As for PvE, I would think maybe it doesn't need it?  I can't see a point.  As far as dungeons go, thieves are the bottom rung.  Having a viable thief in dungeons would be pretty fun.
Fun while it lasted.  I guess.

Delete stealth, thank you very much.

If Anet deletes stealth. Then why don't they just gimp everyone else for what they are too? Make Guardians not wear plate, Eles can't cast spells, rangers don't have pets etc. Stop crying and get over it already.

There is actually a lot more effort involved in being a 10k health -melee- and survive the day than just throwing homing stuff from 1200 range.
People call easy whatever is currently killing them, regardless if it is or not.

Because obviously the opponent is always playing an easy class, an OP build and perhaps even hacking why not.
Welcome to sportsmanship in MMOs.

They want stealth to accent your fighting style, not be your fighting style. That's fine, I prefer this rather than anet nerfing our skill dmg output.

Tbh Arent you still killing just fine?

Fine then; split the mechanic to only function in WvW and PvP. I'm killing fine, but it's the principal of it.
