Written Guide:
I created this guide because after getting my main to 80, I wanted to "powerlevel" my alts to 80. I looked around for a guide, but found none. There was some research done and trial and error, and I've decided to share this guide with you guys. There are obviously faster ways to level, but this guide doesn’t really incorporate crafting. I’m trying to show you a good way to take advantage of these dynamic event chains to level up fairly quickly.
1-15:
Spoiler
Here I'd say you guys are pretty much on your own. If you can't get to level 15 by yourself then I would say that you probably shouldn't be reading this guide
My recommendation is that you 100% your starter map: do as many dynamic events as possible on the way, gather materials and do your daily achievements. You also want to do your story line up to level 15 or so if needed.

These levels will be spent in Kessex Hills. For those wondering how to get there if your race is not a human, I will quickly go over it. First go to Heart of the Mists (PvP) and then do the tutorial if you have to. Once you're in Heart of the mists just go straight until you see the portal to Lion's Arch. Alternatively, you can go into your race's major city and go to Lion's Arch.
Once in Lion's Arch, you want to go to the Gate Hub Plaza Waypoint, and this is where the portals are to all the major cities of the GW2 races. Find the Human portal, (the ones with Seraph Soldiers) and then go inside. You should now be in Divinity's Reach. Go south until you get into Queensdale. Once in Queensdale, you want to run down the map (south) and try to get to the Town of Claypool (human crafting town). A little bit south of Claypool you should see a portal which leads you into Kessex Hills.
When you're in Kessex Hills, go to the Meadows Waypoint. Walk a little bit Southwest of the waypoint, and you should see a river with a broken bridge. Make your way onto the side where there are tons of people (and or bots) that are just standing around there. They are waiting for the event to start!
§ (22) Break centaur worker morale to prevent bridge repairs
§ (25) Dispatch the Harathi lieutenants
§ (25) Kill the Harathi overlord
The first of the three events in this chain involve defending the bridge from centaur workers. Pretty simple, just kill as many centaurs as possible. At level 15 it may be challenging, as on my warrior I was only getting bronze/silvers for a while.
After this event you want to head over to the Overlord's Greatcamp. There should be a big group of people also heading over there as well, so if it is your first time doing the event, you should be fine just following everybody else. Here you want to kill 3 Harathi lieutenants. Don't worry because I didn't get a medal from this event until I was level 20 something.
The final event involves killing the Harathi overlord. Because of Hundred Blades (warrior skill), I was able to get a gold medal from this event even at level 15. I'm not sure about any other classes. Like before, you can just follow other people to this event and completion of this event is fairly quick. After this event has been finished, go back to the bridge in the 1st event and wait for the chain to restart.

For those having trouble getting ANY type of medal:
Spoiler
Make sure that your gear is up to date. Get out of that starter gear and put on your level 15 armor. I have to admit though; 15-20 in this event is probably one of the worst parts of this leveling guide. You get 1 hit downed by everything, and it is extremely frustrating. I just grinded through it on my warrior, but for those having trouble getting any medals EVEN with your new armor, I recommend going east and doing the hearts, exploring way points + points of interest in Kessex Hills that were meant for level 15-20s.
Once you hit 20, I’d recommend putting on your level 20 gear and head back to the event and try again. Now you should feel it is significantly easier.
Remember, this goes for other event chains as well, if you feel as though you aren't doing enough damage, update your gear. If you honestly aren't getting any medals from ANYTHING. Go around and do some nearby hearts to level up a bit.

35-50 (55?):
Spoiler
So once you hit 35 you want to go to Harathi Hinterlands which is the 35-45 zone. Make your way to the Junction Camp waypoint. As I said before, if you’re level 35, don’t worry if you aren’t getting gold medals, as your level up, you will tend to get more and more of them.
§ (42) Stop the centaurs from retaking their camps
§ (42) Capture the camps before more centaurs arrive
§ (43) Assault Kingsgate and drive the centaurs back before they can rally their forces
§ (43) Keep the Modniir invaders from retaking Kingsgate
From the Junction Camp waypoint I would recommend just waiting until the first event triggers.
You will be able to see on your mini map little flags that are telling you to defend the camps from the centaurs. From the Junction Camp waypoint you can either make your way North or South depending on whichever camp you decide to defend.
After defending and maintaining control of the camps, wait about a minute and then there should be another event with Captain Edwards who will assault the Kingsgate with you. Make your way over to him and attack the camp. This is pretty straightforward; you have to kill centaurs, destroy gates, and even kill a centaur mini boss.
Next you will need to defend the area that you have just taken control of, just kill more centaurs and push them back. You have to lower the centaur’s offensive strength, and once that is done you are onto the final event.
You will have to defeat Ulgoth the Modniir and his minions. First he will have 3 War Beasts and those take a while to kill, but generally there are large groups doing these events so you should be fine. After the 3 War Beasts are finished, there will be a giant Earth Elemental type figure that spawns, and you just have to kill it. Once that is done, Ulgoth will come down from the hill that he has been watching the battle from and attack you guys. Ulgoth takes some time to kill, and watch out for his AoE lava font sort of abilities. He also deals quite a bit of damage if he targets you.
You’re done! Now, before you make your way back to the Junction Camp waypoint there is a chest in the area that you were fighting Ulgoth in, and I highly recommend you get that because there is generally some good gear especially for level 35s.
Rinse and repeat.

50-60 (65? or 70?):
Spoiler
Make your way to Bloodtide Coast and head to the southwestern part of the map (bottom left corner) and go to the Jelako waypoint. After at the waypoint, you want to head north until you see a small village of Hylek (froggy-like creatures).
§ (54) Protect the Lapatl Chieftain from the undead
§ (54) Defend Pochtecatl as he travels to gather griffon eggs
Once in the village, an event should trigger where the undead are attacking. All you have to do is defend the village from the undead: in general there are only two locations from which they spawn from, so just choose one and defend that way. Occasionally one side will get overwhelmed a bit so look back and forth to make sure the undead haven’t pushed their way in.
After completing the first event, there should be a Hylek named Pochtecatl and you have to TALK to him in order to start the next event. He should be near the armor repair merchant but make sure if no one else talks to him to start the event, you do or else you will be missing out on some experience + karma + gold! The event is pretty simple. It is essentially a “defend the caravan” sort of event, there will be undead that are attacking you until you make your way into the griffon cave.
In the griffon cave, just kill all the griffons, and as you reach the end of the cave a Veteran Matriarch Griffon will spawn. Kill that and you’re done with the event. Make your way back to the village and in a couple minutes the first event will restart again.

70-80:
Spoiler
Your last 10 levels will be spent in Straits of Devastation. Go to the Lone Post waypoint, and if you find that it is contested, waypoint to a close-by waypoint and walk there.
§ (74) Defend the Lone Post from the Risen hordes
§ (74) Escort the Pact squad to the conservatory
§ (74) Kill the Veteran Risen Wizard defending the conservatory
In Lone Post you have to defend the area from the Risen. There will be a lot of risen coming in from both sides, so try and tag as many Risen as possible to get exp.
After defending Lone Post there will be a Pact squad that comes and you have to defend them as they make their way to the conservatory. You will be killing more Risen. Once at the conservatory there will be some Earth elementals that you will probably kill but it isn’t necessary to kill them in order to complete the event. Once reaching the conservatory the event will be completed.
There will be some dialogue between the Pact squad, and then a Veteran Risen Wizard will spawn. It will be invulnerable for some time until the dialogue is finished, then you have to kill it. It’s pretty easy, some more Risen also spawn but this final event is fast.
There should also be a chest in the conservatory so get that and then make your way back to Lone Post and wait for the chain to restart. By doing this method you will get a ton of drops, and generally make at least 1g/hour.
Alternative method:
Just make your way deeper into Straits of Devastation and zerg. For those who don’t know what that is, just find a large group and kill bosses. If you just run deeper into Straits of Devastation you should see huge groups of people running around, just follow them and kill the bosses they kill. They generally know the spawns of the bosses, and you will get more experience and karma this way, but less gold. The only real gold you get from this is 1 silver or so you get by completing each event.

HELP! The Lone Post gate is blocked!
Spoiler
Make your way to the Thunderhead waypoint (mainland) and there should be some sort of event where you have to defend Trebuchets. By the way, this is the first in the chain.
Once that has been completed, there should be a chain of events where you have to escort from island to island and take control of the islands until you reach Lone Post.
The final event in this chain will allow you to attack the Lasciate Gate which will open up Lone Post and the Lone Post event chain for you.
***If there is no event on the mainland, then perhaps the event chain is already in motion. Go to the other islands and see if there is any sort of event where you have to “defend the island” or “escort a weapon caravan.”

But what about 60-70?
Spoiler
Grinding from 50-70 at Bloodtide coast is a pain. I know. I went from 50-65 and then from 65-70 I did my personal story which I hadn’t done since ~lvl 10. I am also looking into Fireheart Rise (60-70 zone) because it seems to have some good event chains. You guys can try and go there if you want 60-70. If you have materials stored up then you can start crafting if you’d like. It’s pretty much up to you.
So other methods of getting from 60-70 other than Bloodtide Coast:
-Personal Story
-Try Fireheart Rise?
-Craft
-WvW?
