Hello all, I've learned today that the Power/Toughness/Vitality gear set is actually pretty common. (What a noob right?)

Before today, I thought that it could only be obtained through the Orrian Karma Vendors in the the different temples in Orr. Lo and behold, there are dungeon reward armors that have it!

My question is what's easier to get? The Karma Set (Which is actually ugly except the shoulders, which I already have) or getting one of the Sets in the dungeons like Honor of the Waves?

I figured I can spend Karma on the same Stats in Trinkets sold by Karma Vendors in WvW.

What do you think?

I farmed the AC set and transmuted those parts in too Vigil Armor set pieces (because AC gear looks like crap and all...) :) I think that's the easiest one to get.

Agreed. AC is the easiest.

Ok - so it's dungeon armor over the Orr Karma set, then.

I have a new question in mind, now that you mentioned Vigil Armor. Do armors from the order have Exotic Stats, or do they just come in Level 80 Rares? (For instance, the defense of the Rare Chest Piece is 321, while the Exotic has 363.)

They only exist with rare stats and go for 1.5G a piece... I just transmute the looks over the AC gear :)

For now it might be smart to get the vigil anyway because it's (to my knowledge) the only known rare set which gives you vit/though/power :)

If you're planning on transmuting then it's quickest/easiest to mix several sets.  Get the chest and legs with Karma as all the karma pieces are the same price but they are more expensive in the dungeon sets.  As for trinkets, aren't the WvW ones only Rare? If so, just buy a mix of Knight and Valkyrie off the TP and you'll be fine.

WvW has two versions of the trinkets, so you're partially correct. Both are sold under the armor tabs at the very bottom. You can get rares for karma and exotics for badges of honor. I can't recall the exact numbers, but the amulet requires 508 badges, two rings requires just under 800 badges, and two accessories require about 700 badges.

I actually chose Whispers for the story, as they are a carry over from the first game - I don't know when in the series the Vigil and Priory got in the mix. Also I was thinking I wanted some diversity in my options, plus the Whisper armor isn't so bad either. But that assumption was a bit wrong as well, since there are other armor sets that have Prec/Toughness/Condition Damage. Don't ask why I want it for a Guardian, I haven't figured it out yet.
