Hey everyone. I see many people around with a lot of money, saying "5g a day is easy" or "I make 10g a day np!" or whatever.
Don't get me wrong, I've got my little stash of 20~ gold and I'm not asking for ways to make money- I'm just wondering.. Am I missing something big? How is it even possible to make such amounts in such short amounts of time?

It's easy...
If you farm Dungeons/DE's/Mobs that drop T6 materials for hours a day.
Or if you're the super rich that can flip exotics.

Well keep in mind some things were lucrative but now aren't.  Thanks to DR, more people on the trading post, or falling prices like orichalcum ore.  Also some people play an absudrd amount of time.  Getting 10 gold a day is easy.... if you play 10 hours a day and don't get bored of farming.

I have the exact same question. I dont know how it used to be in Betas or in the beginning when you could make huge amount if you could predict little things but now it seems to me that its getting more and more difficult. Since i dont like farming i only go for salvage and flipping stuff on the TP. On a good day i make 3-4 g a day without big risk. On a bad day ill make 1-2 g or even nothing since i will get undercut all the time.

I guess here you mean the precursors. because the other exotics that i have looked into dont have enough profit margin for flipping.

exotics make me about 8g a day. (Dropping fast as hell b/c many are getting to 400)
DEs in Orr net about 3g a day, this counts all items, I find Orr boring as hell b/s it's a zerg but I do it for karma, mats and gold.
Playtime is less than 4 hours per day, often 3 or less.

The biggest bonus was I had access to the TP when most did not.
I used that advantage and leveled up my crafting, that enabled me to make low level green gear, that made me money to level my crafting further so I crafted mid level gear, I made a damn killing off of that.
Then it was high end stuff but now I am getting such a small return for the high items. I quit, except for 2 items. --> what I make the 8g a day mentioned above from.
I needed a break from the TP metagame anyway.
I guess my total worth, including what I have spent and given would be about 300g, but I only have 80g left.

Used the gold to get gems for account storage to max, character storage x 3 to max, 2 additional character slots, 3 sets of exotic armor, trinkets and wep. (only 1 exotic wep)
