So yeah, simply I find it irritating as all hell. Which brings to ask, is there anything available that removes that, or better yet, does anyone know which file it is so I can just remove it?

Assuming of course Anet is fine with this sort of thing.

There is no file, or better there is but is one big file.
And even if you deleted it it would automatically update the file when you run tha launcher.

man i wish we could do sound overrides or other overrides with an override style folder or a file dropped in the gw2 directory.

Have you tried checking all the Audio options in the Menu? There's a LOT of buttons and preferences over there, so maybe you could have a tweak around and see if you can do anything. Otherwise, you could do what I usually do, which is turn off the sound completely and listen to Nirvana whilst blasting my ways through dungeons.
