Right? It's actually flabberghasting how any other weapon that isn't a Greatsword looks borderline bad. I feel especially bad for Necromancers - they either go for a Rainbow Staff that just screws up their whole vibe or a scepter that looks no better fitting to their character either. Here's to hope the Expansion legendaries are going to be better.
Slightly disappointing to be honest - "Hey, our game is all about looks - but most of the stuff we offer, aren't anywhere near top notch". I am curious to see the actual concept art pieces of those weapons, because so far - the art has been marvellous, which makes it all the more astounding that the 3D in-game models would turn out so lacklustre.
I've got no explanation for it, personally.
Same with Armor - there are maybe 2 armors that are "okay" one (Arah) that looks absolutely great - and then there's a couple of armor styles that just look off. It's always subjective of course and I could be the odd one out that just doesn't feel their art direction when it comes to that - but for me at least, the designs are not as great as I hoped, seeing the rest of the game actually blows my mind in terms of details and intricate design.
