I'm also disappointed by the frequency of it...but what can you do when the rest of the armor is trenchcoats, and the duelist top is boring?

Anyway, I jumped on the dungeon armor vendors on my mesmer today and came up with something I haven't seen before (yet). Of course, that's what I thought with the other combo.

Four dungeons repped here...
SE shoulders
CoE chest
HotW pants
CM boots

Magician (low lvl drop) gloves, considering CM gloves

I don't display the helm on this char, she's too pretty.

Dye is Autumn (starter) and Nectar on the boots. I don't have a field for the brown parts on my current armor so that's why it's brown. Also taking suggestions on what to put there.

I've always been a fan of combining armour pieces from different sets, ever since GW.

Below pictures of my heavy armour wearing lvl80s, both using 5 pieces from 5 different sets.

My warrior. Sorry for the not so very detailed screenshots (I don't have a very good computer).

In my opinion sexy, in a "more is less" way. Trying to give her a sleek and agile look, as little "bulky" as possible.
Vigil leggings, Whispers breastplate, T3 gloves, crafted reinforced scale shoulders, T1 "reinforced chainmail socks".


Weapons: Ebon Vanguard greatsword and T3 human "seraph" rifle.

And well, already posted in guardian thread but as she's also mixed & matched - my guardian.

I looked for a decent paladin look, may switch her gear to a blue/silver colour scheme.

Shoulders are the splintmail crafted, chest is karma reward, HoTW leggings, gloves are AC. Boots are banded (drops only).

I've been playing with my display option lately .. not so happy of this screenshot

I am using:

Chest: TA
Shoulder: TA
Arms: Arah
Legging: Dragonic
Boots: Karma (armagedon)

IMO: The mix TA chest and shoulder fit really well with Arah leggin for male too

Whispers Heavy armour. For a closer and more detailed look, check out Arquenya's guardian a few posts up. The reason why Cube's chest is covered is because s/he's blending in the dye on the Whisper heavy chest on the Sylvari. Otherwise, on humans, it'll have the two weapons of mass distractions hovering about (which is still fine for me).
