In anycase, I've just notified CKABEH for you on his Dev page. Doesn't hurt to politely ask every now and again.
Just wish I was slightly more assertive like this irl...

Umm... that would be that Mysteriously Obscure Acronym... MOA.
I'm not sure what is going on with recruiting right now though, since I haven't hung out with them in awhile...

...
Already been done?
Not really sure the direction on this one, but I'm expecting the human culture has maintained the holidays. Festive decoration, all the sorts. Perhaps some reappearances of the minions of either side--snowmen and grenches. Main festivities are beyond me.
Whatever it is, the effect will be grandiose, no doubt.

Snow in Lion's Arch! I doubt that'll happen though, since it feels like an almost tropical climate.... I can't imagine people actually living in those ships while it's freezing outside.
A huge snow maze/puzzle would be awesome though.

This is serious question.
Can't even start with a proper sketch yet.

find an inspiration. What moves you. That is good start. I have an idea for wintersday, but don't have time to start from work and practice

I made about 20 different basic thumbnails of ideas, and I still have no idea what I should do.
Should I go all out and completely outdo myself... hmm but then I might get stuck somewhere and lose interest.
I could do something more simple, but it might seem a little underwhelming... or look wierd if I put too much in something that should look "less"
Augh! I don't want to do a screenshot!
Final Exams are coming up in a week, so I'll be able to tackle this completely head on after the sixth.
Hopefully I can get myself sorted around then.

Deadlines served to prevent any unending cycle of revisions from starting and they also can force you to sit down and draw even if you don't feel you're in the mood.
That's often the biggest issue with me. I don't think I'm in the mood to do art but when I finally sit down and start I find myself enjoying it. The sense of urgency from a deadline can help get over that initial inertia.

When you send in your artwork, please let me know what name you'd like to show as the artist, and if you have a website you'd like me to add a link to. You can also write a short description of what happens in the drawing or any extra Wintersday greetings in general. The text will be added below the artwork.
Already gotten a few artworks sent to me, looking good. Can't wait to show them to everyone!
@EliteZeon: Simple is good too - sometimes a simpler drawing can convey a message much better than a more detailed one, and it can stand out better just by the fact that it's simpler. If you feel pressured about making an artwork, then simpler is definitely the better choice since it's more likely to actually get finished.
@Viatrix: Repeat after me! "I'm a great and magnificent artist and all my artworks are super awesome!" Now do that a 100 times.
@Doctor Overlord: Artists guild sounds like a good idea, I'd definitely be up for it. Even if people don't actively do stuff together or are more involved with their main guilds, at least there's a chance of seeing who is online and talk about art-related stuff in general. Or just goof around, both are fun.

And if you'd like to try to start an artist guild, I might be up for lending a hand (he says thinking that he doesn't even have time to play GW2 and do art at the same time

Well... I could start a guild I suppose, but I'm pretty bad at being a guild leader because some weeks, I'm barely able to get online to play at all.
How many people would be interested in this? And just wanted to clarify, isn't MOA something like an artist guild? I've gotten the impression that a lot of artists hang out there already. So would there be a need for another guild, or everyone just join up with MOA? (noo, I'm totally not trying to get out of the responsibility of creating a guild

Yeah, and I don't want to leave my server unless it would be through guesting. I really hope they implement it soon... Completely switching servers sounds like too much of a hassle when I already have such a large group of friends on Desolation. Still, a guild of artists would be nice for seeing who is online and to just chat with people ingame, and then we would make it super awesome once the guesting system works.

I have a mind to join (although I'm not in MOA) if such a thing was brought into existence!
First pic is absolutely adorable! Great start
