Even if it is late it's nice to see then start giving users a balance between security and user experience by implementing 2FA which allows us to telesign into our accounts. I know some will claim this make things more complicated, but the slight inconvenience each time you log in is worth the confidence of knowing your info is secure. I'm hoping that more companies start to offer this awesome functionality. This should be a prerequisite to any system that wants to promote itself as being secure.

Nope, you can use the Authenticator also online afaik. (at least for user with an android phone)
Flaws? You don't need to use the authenticator, so you don't necessary need a smartphone.
an extra keychain for a few bugs would be nice, but no reason to complain about the current auth
Lol, exactly.
I love that arena decided to give as a mobile authenticator.
I also have never seen anything i'd really complain about.
DR? Read lots about it, never happened to me so i can't judge
Necro-Bugs? Ok, there are a few, but they're fixing them
havn't seen anything gone worse through patches.
I live in germany, and i would say, we got about 90% Smartphoneusers (if you just look at the people who play mmo's)
Right. Sure, as another option, it would be no problem.
But why complain about an optional free authenticator?
Don't complain about not having a physical you need to buy, just ask them about it.
Start a discussion in the forums and ask politely for it.

Not complaining, just listing the potential flaws in the system for those that want to use it. It's called making a contribution to improving the system.

If you don't have a smartphone, or your brand of smartphone is Doing It Wrong, then you can use Google Authenticator for Windows (gauth4win), on your PC.

@Raiden:
my comment was not about the people here, more about most players in generell.

Nice option, but e-mail authentication is enough for me. Having a unique password for everything really does help.
