In order to extend the WvW time presence of our guild and Sea of Sorrows, I have decided fly to Europe and spend 1 to 2 weeks every month for the next 3 months to try and recruit more European guilds onto our server.

I will be staying in the UK in order to match European play times so that we can continue to communicate and support the new European transfers during the turbulent times you endure during a transfer.

We will extend our full support and resources to help build up a few promising battalions to be placed on a defensive shift to bridge our downtime between Oceanic and American switch over.

In the short term, we understand that collecting a sizable European and American army to match our Oceanic presence is almost impossible. Our immediate short term goal is to develop a defense team, coupled heavily with [MERC] funded defensive siege weapons, starting in 1 Borderlands, with the medium term goal to maintain and carry over the favorable situation the Oceanics developed and carry it on for our American guilds to pickup for all 3 Borderlands.
In the past few weeks, we have already attracted a lot of capable and fairly sized American guilds to our server. However, our American comrades are always left with nothing by the time they log in while the enemies have upgraded their war assets to at least tier 2. This makes it very demoralizing for these guilds as they are always fighting against very tough odds as soon as they log in.

We also understand that we had previously attracted a group of players to leave their home servers, be displaced into a new environment, yet they do not have any chance for further growth and recruitment because. Coupled together with unreasonable odds in WvW, it is understandable that these American guilds soon become jaded and leave Sea of Sorrows for other servers.

So do not worry Sea of Sorrowians, the Black Lion Mercenary Corps [MERC] are going to the United Kingdom and we will bring back the European reinforcements we need or die trying!

I admire this. Actually flying  to the UK to get Europeans. My best wishes in your endeavors. I want Tier 1-3 to be filled with the top level of competition so let's keep rounding out those coverages

I shouldn't say because rumors fly around here but A friend told me one of the better guilds decided to move off HoD to SoS.

No guilds have made any statements (official or unofficial) as to the movement from HoD. If and when a decision is made there's no way it's going to remain behind closed doors.

I wouldn't start the rumor mill just yet.

Also, great news is that I reckon over 500 WvW focused USA players are in the process of transferring to sea of sorrows now. I’m so exciting, all the hard work the WvWers in Sea of Sorrows was not in vain.

I remember facing Merc and they are pretty awesome. I wish you guys look in your community/server building. If anyone can you do it you guys definetly can.

Cost about a grand to go to europe. I fly there 3 times a week and am middle class. Strange how the yanks are scared to fly. Hell you can work at burger king for a week and buy a ticket to london for 500 quid
