A master list of the current threads that have discussion and builds for necromancers in PVE.  There may also be alternative builds throughout each thread that relate to the core build.

If other builds that differ highly from the core builds presented in these threads come up, I will post those separately.  If you see anything I have missed let me know and I will add it!!

A little note if your looking for a spec to try out.

The minion master builds are insanely fun for PVP as they can be annoying as all $%^&% to fight against but in PVE dungeons they are less enjoyable in dungeons due to the fact that minions don't dodge roll out of AOE/cleaves causing them to get killed quite easily.


Other then that I must say good job making this tread as it should help new necro's find builds to work with before they try to customise them.

My playtime with GW2 is very very minimal, but I am going to try to keep this updated with builds as they come up.  I will also remove builds that aren't actively supported or discussed anymore to try and keep it maintained with the most current stuff.

Good day!

Writing in to request that my guide is removed from the list. It's catalogued under "Xekk's Balanced Support Build".

I've moved on to developing toons in other professions of late and have neglected to update the guide for a number of months. 'Balance' is no longer accepted as being effective in the current metagame. Also, there is no information in that guide that hasn't been covered in newer guides. If the guide is updated in the future with a potentially better build, I will write again. Thanks!

Well we cannot have that now can we?!  Added and sorry I missed it!  I never really considered doing a hybrid build due to the lack of focus on either condition (which as you said would do more damage) or power.  Most of my gameplay is doing the dailies (no dungeon though... just came back and no one to play with heh) and events so fights are mostly short and sweet... conditions wouldn't have time to be effective.  Either way, great write up!!

I'm sorry, i don't mean to be rude, but a some of these "guides" you have listed are made by people who are sub-50 and some of them are people asking for advice and are not guides at all. I think you should really cut away at a lot of them and only include real guides that people are playing and not "I just hit 30 here's my guide!". We have the front page for that stuff.

I agree... a lot of the stuff was added after I quit playing and I was just trying to tag recent threads with people trying different builds regardless of level to get discussion going on them if people saw them here.  However, most of them died out it seems.  I have cleaned up the list and did a little reorganization.... threads that are still active and being discussed on top, irrelevant ones removed that were never discussed further, and ones that are still good builds but not very active at the bottom.  Hopefully this cleans it up a bit.
