Got to have respect for these guys. ET must have clashed against SBI several times but I never really got up close and personal with them until being a tourist on Jade Quarry. Ambushed one but it turns out he had 2 other buddies stealthed, never went down so fast and in such a coordinated fashion in all my time in T1 so far.

Also as the Jade guys were efficiently wiping the floor with what's left of Stormbluff's coverage, those WM guys literally don't stop fighting (and kicking ass) even when it's just a handful of them in a keep and literally outmanned like hell from all sides. You can literally just see everyone else melt and the JQQ steam train zerg stop when they run up against these guys in the open field and they have to work for it.

We on SBI are very proud of War Machine and love fighting beside them. I'm a little lost why more Oceanic/European Guilds don't come to Stormbluff Isle while the free transfers are in effect. SBI has strong NA coverage and world champioin guilds like WM and other great Guilds to cover Oceanic and European, we just don't have enough non-NA to compete round the clock with Jade Quarry.
I'm sure free transfers will be over soon. Hopefully we won't be stuck with one clock dominate server.

Awesome, love to read stuff like this.

And I can definitely vouche this is true, WM are monsters and incredibly respected by those on IoJ.

We have excellent Oceanic presence now with SYN, Yaki, NYS, and CRS to help bolster WM, EviL, and DD.

Our problem is what it's always been, and that's EU coverage.

Hope you get some :) I have and always will be an advocate of population balance and competition. Love fighting you all. WM is its own animal. Not really comparable to anyone else I have seen. The [WM] tag shows up in a group and the collective reaction is "uh oh..."

Yeah, ours too. I think VoTF is our only real EU WvW guild that I know of.

I don't even know who our EU guilds are. :/

Not to insult whichever EU guilds we do have, because I'm sure they fight hard with what they have... but that's testament to just how little presence we have during that time frame. :P

And they've been baring their teeth lately. It's pretty awesome to see a PPT lead for us against JQ during Oceanic prime time.

Because we want competition. That's what WvW is about.

What is more fun? Fight with the best or fight against the best?

I say fight against the best if you don't want to feel like a puppy wagging its tail whenever it see its master(WM).

there are already more than 3~4 Oceanic Hod guilds came over to SBI, how many more do you want? It is like the current Blackgate bragging for more "non-bandwagons" to come over while they already have countless Hod guilds and Et guilds transferred over.

SBI's problem is always the US prime time, they are good but give up too easily.
A couple of warning tho, if you guys(mainly US prime time's guilds) continuely not try hard enough, those ex-hod guilds are going to leave, sooner or later.
If you want to be no1 so badly, i suggest you transfer to Blackgate though, not only people wont call you bandwagon for transferring to BG, you will automaticly become a classy/skilled players just because you transferred to there, so do it now!

There's only 3 regular WvW SEA guilds transferred onto SBI (the rest have stopped or left to lower tiers) and we have small WvW pops (20-30 each). Even for a huge WvW guild like WM, participation has dropped severely (we had 20+ playing with 30+ WM on HoD Borderlands yesterday), and they do not play WvW every night. It's easy to ask for more transfers to servers like SBI and BG, but the servers are Full and locked from transfers most of the time.

Most guilds play in only 1 timezone out of several eg. NA, Oceanic, the period between NA and Oceanic, Asian, EU. A lot of people that do not reside in the region are unaware that due to daylight savings, there is a gap of 3 hours between Oceanic and Asian timezones. So the coverage generally goes from Oceanic -> Asian -> EU timezones before NA. Even if there are 12 Oceanic/Asian guilds providing coverage across 4 maps, everything will still be lost when EU comes.

How does one cover the EU timeslot on NA servers? Having EU or large International guilds help, but ultimately, it is up to the server pop that's online to fill in the coverage gaps as well as numbers on a map. A map with 60+ guild players can put up a fight but eventually get overwhelmed by another server's 166. When guilds log off at the end of their primetime, it's up to the server pop to continue fighting. Guilds can spearhead battles during their respective primetimes, but without the participation of the server pop, it makes little impact on the overall war effort.

They have rudimentery English (more than my Korean, that's for sure) and will give directions if you start to follow them. My difficulty with them is they move really fast sometimes, as in I'll be watching for enemies one direction, turn around and suddently 30+ people aren't standing where they were five seconds ago.

But they're great fun. Their late night smash and grab runs are wubwub at it's best.

At least we agree on something, and I wouldn't blame them either. Our current play, in comparison to how it was 3 weeks ago, is just sad.

I can't comment on the current state of things because I haven't been online since Friday night. Before that though, I noticed lots of people logging in that I had never seen before and man did they suck.

At least SBI is fighting to the end. You guys zerged me good a few times. I haven't been playing conservatively either, have been throwing myself into more outnumbered x to 1 fights while on JQ just to see what I can come out with. I don't come out of them alive and taken down several people like I do with SoS ;)

Lots of bridge fighting. Lots of standing around in the middle of the road derping and wondering what to do, while the JQ train pushes all of our territory. Lots of "Hey let's run straight through the massive siege fort that's pointing right at us instead of flanking." I saw a Mesmer drop a portal at a strategic location while the zerg ran past it instead of using it (lmao).

It's really sad, but also really funny to watch in a way.

I think there are a lot of new WvW players this week, for whatever reason.  If they stay long enough to learn, they'll help bolster the WvW population, which has suffered some attrition.  Short-term, they'll probably be clueless and need leadership.
