Seriously though.
Its not going to be an overhaul, at best a few abilities will get a lil buffed.
Anet doesn't seem to have a dev team in favor of large edits to anythings when it comes to PvP...
They care about splashes to the meta or something silly.
At best longbow will be playable after the patch.
At least that's my guess.

Elementalists are pretty bad too except for their tanky specs.
Next up are Rangers, who suffer from bad pet AI in addition to lack luster weapon skills overall.
Everyone else is OK to overpowered. Thieves and Mesmers need some toning down in PvP in a bad way. Care should be taken not to hurt these classes in PvE, though, if possible. If anything, Mesmers need some serious help in PvE, as badly as some classes need help in PvP if not more so.

The least played is thief, imho. (Just kidding, probably engi or necro but I've been seeing a lot of them appearing in tPvP now.)

If by that, you mean ranger is a great 1v1 profession, then you should probably try out mesmer/thief/engi double pistol/ele semi bunker. If by that you mean that skill has a bigger impact than minor differences in profession balance, I full heartedly agree --- And that's the way it should be. If you're a good player, you're valuable no matter what profession you choose.

If they just buff pet a little, or change some mechanism regarding pet, and/or enhance pet related skills/traits, rangers would be at a much better place, both PvP and PvE. And these are pretty easy changes to make, so I'm betting on them changing pet for this "overhaul".
