Hey guys, so I've raised enough money to get full exotics and a Corrupted Scepter and I've also wasted quite a lot on pointless weapons, such as the Whisperer Scepter and Mystic Wand, skins which I thought I would like but after using it for a couple of days I decided to bin.

I'm wondering if there are any other unique scepter or dagger skins? I like my corrupted scepter and unless a skin is gobsmacking I probably won't attempt to get it. I really wanted that Immobulus, but Giant Eyes are selling for 80s, and you need 250 of them... the price of a Immobulus practically makes it a legendary itself.

And for dagger skins, currently I've just got the Orrian one. I might try for the AC one, since I like the glow, but I'm open to other suggestions.

haven't really used a scepter yet as I've only played one profession that can use it (necro) and on her I don't use it in my build, so I won't comment here.

but for daggers (which I do use on my necro), I do like the steam skin.  The blade has a movement animation on it that looks pretty cool when its not sheathed.  Otherwise, there is a whole thread in the screenshots forum asking about cool skins where people are researching them at the moment, not a whole lot of info but people are looking into it as well.

in general there seems to be a lack of "cool" skins outside of greatswords for the majority of the population of the game.

I really like Emberglow. Not a fan of the staff skin though. Scepter seems to have the right dimensions/doesn't look cartoony.

I've bought the Lidless eye - it doesn't have any special effects but I like its design and you can get it from the TP a lot cheaper than the price of the materials (it shares the MF recipe with the Wall of the Mists which is really expensive).

As for the daggrer, I've found two which I like but I have no idea how to get them - Reaper of Souls (looks like a simple sickle, but it would fit my necro) and Soulshard. I might be going for the Incinerator though, as it's the only really epic-looking dagger so far. And all the other legendaries don't fit necromancers at all (well the axe is fine but nobody uses them).

Soulshard sounds cool, what does it look like?

i am an owner of an immobulus, and for its cost of around 90g to craft, do not get it. even though i have it equiped on my massive male norn necro, the particle effects are absolutely disgustingly tiny, the scepter is tiny and the particles which float around it are almost unnoticable if you are zoomed out to the max, if its sheathed, there is no particle effects at all, and if you run with it, the particle effects trail behind you but soooooooo damn low in density that you can barely see anything coming off it. basically, the emberglow its the best scepter skin available ingame, the legendary scepter is just a glowy white cotton ball on a stick, boring as heck. hope that helps

Abysmal Scepter is the Illusionary Scepter. Has a like purple flame at top.  When sheathed keeps its mist like aura around like the other illusion weapons.  This would be the best scepter skin if the Legendary is that bad.  

Side not the anomaly is very sexy for a focus imo

I tried searching the Abyssal Scepter on the TP and the results keep coming up blank. Yet one Gw2DB is clearly says it exists.
Weird, is there a reason why it's not on the TP?

I think I heard that the MF recipe that should be creating it is instead creating Mystic Scepters.  There was a forum thread about it this morning, but I can't recall where.

Ouch, that must be harsh to whoever was on the receiving end of that bug. Hope they sort it out pronto. What's the materials required for this Abyssal Scepter? Judging by the other Illusionary weapons, there's a high chance I won't even attempt to make it though

o man. i have a feeling we all need to take screenshots of videos when using the mystic forge or doing anything that is "one-time" only.. with all these bugs. haha needa protect ourselves :PPP lol

back on track. ooh would love to be able to preview abyssal scepter. just for the purple flame.
right now i'm using Emberglow and i LOVE it. at one point i thought about Immobulus. but even without the crazy high cost, the special effects slowly weared off and am super happy with emberglow and will probs be sticking with it for a looong time.

Does anybody know how to craft Reaper of Souls? It's not even on the trading post, so idk if anyone even knows.
