[Cabal]

Hey everyone, I'm contemplating transferring as my server (who shall not be named to prevent derailing) is becoming dead//troll fest. WvW is very unorganized, cant find anyone in zones (Orrian more so than low lvl oddly). Just looking for a server with an overall friendly atmosphere, active population and organized (doesnt have to be Beastly) WvW. Any advice appreciated!

I do not mean to troll, but go anywhere except Isle of Janthir. Eredon Terrace seems to be a good choice. I saw alot of good people posting from ET.

I, on the other hand, would actually recommend IoJ.  I had transferred from SF and found that I liked the player community better and the server was much more organized.  At first there were fewer gold sellers, but that's starting to pick up now.  WvW wasn't a joke, either, like it was on SF when I was last there 2-3 weeks ago.

ET is dead atm but we are rebuilding so you could join us . You could also consider one of the Euro servers (assuming you are on NA and haven't), I believe FS are looking for more NA ppl. IOJ and SF as far as I know have loads of ppl but wvw must be boring as hell or them as they have way more ppl than their current opposition. I just tried out BP and everytime we capped more than 1 thing a zerg of SF would drool and all come to that map.

Don't go to IoJ.... nothing but a bunch of cheaters.  We are playing them this week in WvW and you see a bunch of toons flying, teleporting, and glitching through walls.  Impossible to win against that.  I can't wait until Anet comes up with cheat detection.

pretty much all the tier matches are one sided atm with one server having 400-500+ potential points (a side effect of free transfers still in effect) so WvW will take a while to get settled into a more interesting set up.  I'd recommend laying out what you want in order of priority and then ask for advice.  Also, when you say active server, what do you mean?

Every server has cheaters, I repeat... every server has cheaters. These are actions of individuals and do not represent servers as a whole.

Seconded.  We just lost a few of our large WvW oriented guilds, so we could really use a few more good people to slow the onslaught.  Also, every single one of us left on ET are simply wonderful people.  Just amazing folks...really.  Awesome.  The lot of us...

I think our new slogan should be "Come check out the NEW ET.  Same great look.  Now [RUIN] free!"

p.s. - I have absolutely nothing against [RUIN] or any of its members.  You guys were nothing but impressive when I fought along side you, and got dealt a lot of crap for what seemed like no reason at all.

ET does have a good PvE community.  Lots of communication about where things are happening and it's not hard to find decent chat sessions in various places.

We're hurting a bit due to the WvW guild(s) exodus (I'll keep my thoughts on that to myself), but there are a lot of people working hard to get us back on track.

IoJ has a great community, but if you enjoy WvW, I wouldn't recommend them.  It's pretty boring at the moment, as we're dominating.  WvW is far more interesting and fun when there's a lot of action going on all over the place.  Not when your side holds everything.

I'm on blackgate and it has a nice atmosphere with lots of groups. The only drawback is it feels somewhat over-populated. Orr is a nightmare with so many people running around. Mobs die before they render on my screen   Oh and as far as WvW we used to be mediocre but I guess from what I hear we got a couple of big WvW guilds now we are destroying. That should change when we move up brackets but I'm sure we will still stay very competitive.

I got to be honest here I've been in sea of sorrows for a long time and I haven't seen a single cheater besides the occasional botters
