On October 20th, 2012 at 6:45pm EST, I crafted Eternity on Tarnished Coast

Obviously there’s some speculation going around that I exploited to get to where I am now or play every waking second of my life. So I will be making a mini F.A.Q. to answer concerns.

F.A.Q.

Q: How did you get dusk and dawn?

A: I purchased them early in the game for 60g each







Q: How did you make so much gold to purchase all the components ?

A: I did not exploit nor did I receive donations from my guild. I capitalized on early gains purchasing a large
sum of gems in the very start of the game and invested the majority of it into mystic coins, conduits, bltc, etc.



Q: Why are there so little hours on your character?

A: I first had initially crafted and equipped twilight on my asura. Seeing how it was too small and how the legendaries were bind on use I decided to forge eternity so that I could equip it to my norn.


Q: How did you farm so much karma?

A: I had 15% karma up 24/7 from guild boost as well kitten from banners and 50% from karma boosters. This along with having 3 level 80s allowed me to farm up to 200k karma a day without hitting DR.


Q: Why are you such a no lifer?

A: I don’t know, but I can tell you that out of my 750 total hours probably 10% is from logging onto character select screen and afking/sleeping. This still counts towards your total hours.




Shout out to my Krys for figuring out the recipe for Eternity and making the video. Thanks to my guild ABSOLUTE LEGENDS for 15% karma and banners boosts along with doing temple of balthazar when needed.


P.S. I got the achievement when I equipped the eternity, but not for sunrise or twilight. And There are no footprints from eternity. QQ

Wow that sucks it doesnt make footsteps but good job first eternity must feel good

Probably means that it is unfinished. I really think GW2 was rushed out a few months ahead of time. Especially when you compare some legendaries to others.

Although I'd expect more from it, plus the fact it has fewer effects than Twilight or Sunrise makes me sad :<

Congratulations on all your hard work. Doing such a feat now using boosters with the current price of Gold->Gems  would be a ridiculous undertaking.

Was hoping for the standard foot trails of each legendary when they were being used.

Actually,I would NEVER go for Eternity. Ok, it change the apparence during the day / night,but I could have the same effect at any given time switching between both legendary greatswords. Anyway,grats to OP for making it!

This thing should really have a unique appearance of some kind.  As it is now, it's better to just keep both Sunrise and Twilight and switch between the two as you please.

Grats on legendary!

It is very sad thou that the guy doesnt wanna share the recipe. Surely it will be known in a few weeks or so, that being said probably a few more folks will waste some karma\gold on experiments

Anyways, guild wars 2 crafting community is awesome, i am very glad and proud of a great work that has been done to unlock the legendary recipe!

Anyway, grats on the legendary!

Also, the fact that it has the same damage as an Exotic is proving the legendaries are still an unfinished business...

Grats on getting Eternity dude a bit disappointed on the lack of special effects but a great weapon none the less! was just wondering as well, wtf is with the 80k worth of gems o.O

All it proves is that you don't get it's all about the rarity and look, not the damage...

Then how come the other legendaries have a SLIGHTLY higher attack power than the exotics?

So it's a recipe that combines the two legendary's...interesting.

Congrats on getting it dude.

Just shows how casual this game is though for someone to get it so quick. Also shows how you get it alot quicker with the gemstore as opposing to not using the gem store which I hate that about mmo's. Use gem store  = achieve things quicker.

Im starting to miss old not casual MMO's. Looks like there exinct for more profitable casual gamers.
