Quite a few end-game events require non-intuitive strategies to complete.  Very often there are more than enough players present to complete the event, however the event fails because not enough players know about the trick objectives such as the shade buff in Grenth, or guarding the seals in Lyssa.

It would be very easy and simple to add short text hints to the related NPC dialogs.  No fancy programming, just replace some of the useless flavor dialog with some relevant information. The NPC in Grenth for example spews lines and lines of useless dialog, why not put some useful information there?

I don't think is is making it too easy, how many players pay any attention at all to NPC dialog?  I do think enough would so that these events would not fail as often as they do now.

What I think is happening is that as soon as players hit 75+ they head for Malcore's and Cursed Shore and jump into these events in mass.  It turns out to be very frustrating for them when the events fail despite there being plenty of players there.

It is useless to try and communicate in game during these events.  Players ignore their chat window when so much action is going on, however enough might take in what the NPC's say at the beginning so that the event can be successful.

Or players themselves could tell other players how to do it instead.

People try, I wish I could show the logs of map chat in Malcore's Leap for the last few days.

I guess it is just a great example of how to design an event which is almost guaranteed to fail every time.

I would really like to know what Anet's secret data on this event is, how often it fails/succeeds compared to other meta-events.

What I see happening is that players will flock to the occupied seals and take them, but then run off to another seal or worse the center altar, leaving the seal unguarded.  In just a few minutes, the mobs counter-attack and retake the seal while the other players who ran off are dying at the central altar.

I guess too many players can't sit still for longer than 10 seconds to guard a seal these days.  I can't count the number of times, I have taken a seal with a few other players, only to see them run off after securing it leaving me to die defending it solo.

So unless you are really lucky, and/or have a some guild(s) involved this event will rarely succeed.
