So i have very fast reflexes, and typically in every game i run glass canon builds. But a few bad experiences with a warrior charging/hundredblades with haste instakilling me before i can even react has led me to think about maybe mixing some vit/toughness into my armor selection.
And yes i didnt see the warrior charge because of culling
So what do you guys think is a decent goal for toughness/vit as a mesmer trying to run a crit dmg build?
my stats were around 23-2400 power around 2k pecision and basically the lowest possible vit/toughness like 916 for both i think.

Generally if i see the person coming i am fine but when i randomly get backstabbed in a teamfight or like the example above, i think that it wouldnt hurt to maybe add a few pieces of survivability

just wondering what you guys are running in terms of gear

Just accept it that sometimes you will die and continue to be glass cannon, if you sacrifice one of your stats for toug or vit it will not make big difference, but you will lose damage.

Ive always wondered this myself.  Would someone notice the difference between, say, 1450 toughness and 916 toughness.

im aware i know how to play the class but im just wondering if theres a balance that will keep me being blown up due to culling. and with the blink theres been an occasion where ive been bursted instantly within 1/2 a second
hence why i dont have clones up for distortion

Yes there is a big difference between 900 toughness and 1450 toghness. Too much I think. You can suit yourself 4 pieces of power toughness vit and all your problems will be gone.

Night and day difference at those two toughness values. I get around 1500 toughness with 20 Chaos, 4p "Rabid" set (from Orr temples), and Knights chestpiece.
